Levi-Mariah was diagnosed with early-stage skin cancer after she found a tiny white patch amongst the freckles below her eye.
"I never dreamt I would get skin cancer on my face, it petrified me," Levi says.
The diagnosis completely changed her perspective on life. "I truly don’t take a single day for granted, every day feels like a blessing," she shares. "It's made me realise how powerful early detection really is."
For most people, this type of cancer doesn't spread. It can be removed by surgery and no further treatment is required. However, Levi’s carcinoma needed a deep and lengthy incision to remove all traces of it.
Since her diagnosis, Levi has been using her social media platform to share her experience and raise awareness. Through her growing presence on TikTok, she encourages confidence, connects with others, and helps highlight the importance of enjoying the sun safely.
Levi is supporting our sun awareness campaign, in partnership with NIVEA SUN, to help spread the message of how to enjoy the sun safely. This includes:
🌳 Seeking shade when the sun is strongest (11am-3pm in the UK)
👒 Covering up with clothes, a hat and UV-protection sunglasses
🧴 Applying sunscreen regularly and generously, with SPF 30 or above, and at least 4 stars on the bottle.
