Stay safe in the heatwave! ☀️

With temperatures risings, it’s important to take extra care of ourselves and those around us. Especially older adults and people with underlying health conditions.

Here are a few simple ways to stay safe during the hot weather.

💧 Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day.
🏠 Keep your home cool by closing curtains or blinds during the hottest part of the day.
👕 Wear light, loose fitting clothing.
☀️ Avoid going outside during the hottest hours where possible.
🤝 Check in on elderly relatives, neighbours or friends to make sure they’re keeping well.

Every step towards independence is something to celebrate. 💙

One of our customers recently completed four months of support with Havant Homecare following an operation.

When they first came to us, they needed extra help while recovering. As their confidence and strength grew, our carers supported them with short walks in the local community, encouraging independence at a pace that felt right for them.

Today, we’re delighted to say they no longer require our services because they’ve regained the confidence to manage independently.

This is what home care is all about. It isn’t about creating dependence, it’s about providing the right support at the right time, empowering people to recover, rebuild their confidence and continue living life on their own terms.

We are incredibly proud of our team for the compassionate care they provided and wish our customer all the very best for the future!
