WHEN SCHOOL FEELS IMPOSSIBLE

When a child struggles to attend school, it can be incredibly difficult for everyone involved.

It can be tempting to think they are being difficult, refusing or simply “not wanting to go”.

But what if the behaviour is communicating something they don't yet have the words to express?

School avoidance can have many different causes, and understanding the individual child is an important part of finding the right support.

Play therapy can provide children with a safe space to explore emotions, experiences and worries at their own pace.

If you're a parent, carer or professional concerned about a child who is struggling with school, we're happy to have a conversation about how we may be able support you.

Hello from the Teulu Team! 🤎

We have had a bunch of new followers since our press release (welcome!) so we wanted to re-introduce ourselves. We are Jackie, Harriet and Beth (from left to right in the photo), and we are the founding directors and Play Therapists at Teulu.

Our mission is to ensure children and families in Pembrokeshire can access the therapeutic support they need - regardless of income. We are excited to offer support to the children in our community through Play Therapy, as well as other therapeutic interventions including sand tray therapy, directive work and drawing and talking therapy.

We currently have spaces available for both private and funded spaces.
