🍽️ We're Hiring – Care Home Cook 👩‍🍳❤️

Do you have a passion for cooking and making a difference in people's lives? We have a fantastic opportunity to join our wonderful team at Wellfield Care Home, Hawarden!

We're looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Cook to prepare delicious, nutritious meals that our residents can look forward to every day. Food is at the heart of our home, and you'll play an important role in creating enjoyable dining experiences and bringing smiles to our residents' faces.

✨ What we offer:
👨‍🍳 Full training provided – experience is welcomed but we can support you to develop.
👕 Uniform provided.
💷 Competitive pay of £13.50–£14.00 per hour (depending on experience).
❤️ A supportive team and a rewarding role where you'll truly make a difference.

We planned a “reading out loud” activity this morning with our residents, choosing what we thought was a sweet love-and-romance novel. Little did we realise it was extremely raunchy! Within minutes the room was in stitches—residents laughing so hard some had tears streaming down their faces. It turned into the most unexpected (and memorable) entertainment of the week! 🤣🤣

What a wonderful morning at Woodside Community Centre, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support. 💚

So much thought, time and effort went into making the event such a success. A huge thank you to all the wonderful volunteers and everyone at Hope Church for their incredible hard work and generosity.

Together, they managed to raise an amazing £650+ for such a fantastic cause. 🌟

Today is a very special day as we celebrate 40 wonderful years of Wellfield Care Home! 🥳🎂

Four decades of memories. Four decades of laughter, love, friendship, care and, most importantly, people. ❤️

Wellfield is so much more than a building. It is a home. A place where people have been welcomed, cared for, supported and loved. A place where friendships have been formed, milestones celebrated, difficult days shared and countless precious memories created.

As we look back over the past 40 years, we want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has played a part in Wellfield’s story.

To every past and present resident and their families — thank you for allowing Wellfield to be part of your journey. You are, and always will be, at the very heart of what makes this home so special. 🥰

To every member of staff, past and present — thank you for the compassion, kindness, dedication and love you have given over the years. The care you provide goes far beyond a job; you help make Wellfield a place people can truly call home. 💙
