Located in the heart of Balcombe, Russettings is a recently refurbished 45 bedroom care home which offers residential, nursing and dementia care for its residents. We welcome you to take a tour of Russettings in order for you to get a feel for the home and meet some of the staff and residents if appropriate. A rapid test and a mask will be required and visits will be by appointment. Our home remai

ns extremely vigilant and as case numbers are set to rise as society re-opens, this is going to become increasingly important. As we navigate this new phase of the pandemic, we are committed to preserving robust infection control measures.

A lovely mix of activities around the home this last week! 😊

Some residents enjoyed board games and physical activities together, while others spent time reading, knitting, and enjoying their own hobbies. It's always wonderful to see everyone spending their day in ways they enjoy!

Our residents have been making the most of the sunshine this week ☀️🌿

From relaxing in the shade to enjoying lovely conversations with friends, it’s been wonderful to see everyone spending time outdoors and soaking up the warm weather!

We had an amazing visit from Our Amazing Animal World. Our residents were very interested in getting to know the stories of the rescued animals and loved watching and stroking them. 🐇✨

We also were treated to some wonderful entertainment! 🎤

Our residents have been making the most of the warmer days and the beautiful views around Russettings!

Whether enjoying a gentle walk in the garden, helping with a little gardening, or simply sitting back and soaking up the sunshine, it’s been lovely to see everyone enjoying time outdoors. 🌿☀️

We had a really lovely day at Russettings with Marco the magician, who entertained everyone with well-known songs and some amazing tricks – we were all left wondering how he did them! ✨

We also celebrated a resident’s birthday with cake and flowers, making it a truly special day. 🎂💐

A sweet highlight at Russettings Care Home last month!

The ice cream van brought smiles and delicious treats for our residents. We were also delighted to welcome the wonderful children from Buttercup Barn Nursery for a sunny, joyful visit. Everyone enjoyed tasty ice creams and lovely conversations — and those relaxing indoors didn’t miss out on their sweet cooling moments either!

Marco the Magician wowed us once again at Russettings! ✨

A firm favourite with residents and staff, Marco amazed us with his incredible tricks (we still don’t know how he does them!). There was plenty of laughter, audience participation, and even a sing-along to classic favourites - the perfect way to enjoy a sunny afternoon! 🎩🎶🌞

May Photo Dump!

May was full of joy and sunshine! We kicked off with VE Day crafts, bunting and reminiscing over childhood street parties. Our new monthly minibus trips began with a lovely outing to a garden centre - sunshine, snacks, and chats with friendly dogs! Back home, we cooked up delicious treats, shared laughs in the garden, and soaked up the spring sun with ice cream in hand. 🌸🇬🇧🚌🍦

Looking forward to sharing what June had in store for our residents!
