We are very excited to share our beautiful line-up of events happening at The Yoga Yurt this September!
Escape to the countryside for your yoga practice and enjoy our beautiful handcrafted yurt surrounded by open countryside and set on a peaceful farm in Cuckfield, The Yoga Yurt is a place to slow down, reconnect with nature and leave feeling calmer, stronger and refreshed.
A peaceful walk through the fields takes you from the car park to the yurt, with beautiful views across the valley.
Our September programme includes special events, monthly women’s circle, yoga sessions and opportunities to combine yoga with wild swimming in the farm’s tranquil lake.

Hello there 👋
I thought I’ll properly introduce myself here, as there are quite a few new followers of The Yoga Yurt.
I’m Isis a yoga teacher and the founder of this beautiful space.
I still have to pinch myself some days to believe that this studio is actually mine.
Was it an easy ride to start with?
Ehm, if I’m honest with you, no it wasn’t it.
Setting up a business like this in November last year, when rain was pouring down on our platform every single day and we were surrounded by muddy fields, it didn’t feel easy at all.
But those who know me, also know that once I’ve got an idea in my head, I’ll do anything to make it happen.
With the amazing support of the people at and of course my husband Jon and many others who didn’t get tired of my endless talking about yurts, I felt supported and knew I could make it happen.
The same week of the planned opening was also the week my mother passed away and instead of opening the yurt, I had to fly back to the Netherlands, spend time with family and arrange her funeral.
To say it was a challenging time is perhaps a bit of an understatement.
But if there’s one thing I learned so far, sometime things are so difficult and it’s hard to see yourself on the other end of it all, but it’s also by going through these challenges that you realise your own strength. And you know you can do it, one way or the other.
And now I’m at the other end of this chapter.
The yurt is open for 8 months already and my heart sings everyday when I see this beautiful space filled with so many of you.
My dream was to create a place where you can come to slow down. To unwind. To spend time in nature. A place to connect and share and remind yourself of your strength too.

You are so welcome to join me or one of our lovely teachers for a weekly yoga class or retreat event.
