In therapy, we often talk about recovery as something that involves action—challenging fears, practising new skills, attending appointments, and sitting with difficult emotions. Those things matter.

But so does rest.

Recovery-focused rest isn't about giving up or "being lazy." It's about intentionally giving your mind and body the opportunity to recover from the emotional and physical demands of healing.

For people recovering from an eating disorder, rest can sometimes feel uncomfortable or even undeserved. You may notice thoughts telling you that you should be doing more, moving more, or earning your rest. Those thoughts are part of the illness—not a reflection of your worth.

Choosing rest when your body or mind needs it can be a powerful act of recovery. It supports healing, helps regulate your nervous system, and creates space to reconnect with yourself with compassion rather than criticism.

If you're finding rest difficult today, try asking yourself:
What would support my recovery right now, rather than my eating disorder?

Recovery isn't measured by how much you can push through. Sometimes, one of the bravest things you can do is pause, listen to your body, and allow yourself the care you deserve.

Remember: healing includes rest.

This , the theme is all about taking action for our wellbeing. For many, the bravest action you can take is simply saying, "I don’t have to carry this alone."

Therapy isn't just about "fixing" what’s broken; it’s about:
• Building a toolkit for life’s stressors 🛠️
• Understanding your patterns without judgment 🧠
• Investing in the most important relationship you have—the one with yourself.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to start your journey, this is it. Let’s turn awareness into action together.
