A huge thank you to the Appin Agricultural Show committee for their generous donation of syringe driver bags to our Community Nursing and Macmillan teams based at Lorn and Islands Hospital 💙

The committee highlighted syringe driver bags in this year's handicraft section at the show before donating them to support patient care across our local communities.

Help Shape Sexual Health Services for Young People across NHS Highland

The Sexual Health Needs Assessment for Young People in Argyll & Bute and North
Highland is now moving into its third phase.

Over recent months, young people have shared their experiences, views, and priorities
around sexual health and wellbeing as part of our Sexual Health Needs Assessment - these
findings and insights are attached.

We are now seeking the perspectives of professionals who work with, support, or
provide services to young people. Your experience and knowledge are vital in helping us
understand current provision, identify gaps and opportunities, and inform future
recommendations.

Please take a few minutes to complete our short survey by 20 September. The link to the survey can be found at: https://ow.ly/5SMR50ZFF5x

At the end of the survey, you will also have the opportunity to register your interest in
participating in a follow-up focus group, where we will explore the findings in more detail and
discuss future priorities for sexual health services and support.

A quick update from Board Chair, Sarah Compton-Bishop

In her vlog, Sarah shares some highlights from NHS Highland’s latest public Board meeting on 28 July, including the inspiring work by the employability team to create easier ways into NHS careers across the Highlands and also progress on our Gaelic language commitments.

Sarah also discusses the Board's latest whistleblowing report and gives an overview of OpenLine. OpenLine is a confidential service for NHS Highland staff, providing colleagues across the organisation with a safe and supportive way to raise concerns, seek advice and speak up when something doesn't feel right.

🚶‍♂️🏥 The Cowal GP Walk-In Centre is now open for longer!

From today, the service will be available every Thursday and Friday from 12 noon to 8 pm, with the final walk-in appointment available at 7.30 pm.

The walk-in centre provides access to same-day care and appointments are offered based on clinical need and available capacity.

✅ Open Thursdays and Fridays
✅ 12 noon to 8pm
✅ Last walk-in appointment at 7.30 pm
