Today at Argyle, residents celebrated International Friendship Day with a lovely friendship bracelet making afternoon! 🩵💜🧡🤝

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, colourful beads, and creativity as everyone enjoyed making beautiful bracelets to celebrate the friendships that make our care home such a special place. Some residents made bracelets to gift to their friends, staff, and loved ones.

A wonderful afternoon filled with kindness, conversation, and cherished memories. Happy International Friendship Day from everyone at our care home! 🌈✨

🎉 Happy 101st Birthday! 🎉

Last week at our care home, we had the absolute pleasure of celebrating an incredible milestone as one of our wonderful residents David turned 101 years young! 🥳🎂

It was a truly special day filled with smiles, laughter, birthday wishes, and celebrations. Reaching 101 years is an extraordinary achievement, and we were honoured to be part of such a memorable occasion.

Here’s to creating many more cherished memories together! 💐❤️

Staff Spotlight – Kerry 🌟

This month we are pleased to introduce Kerry as our Staff Spotlight.

Kerry recently stepped into the Activities Coordinator role while Phoebe is spending time in America. Having worked at The Argyle Care Home for the past three years as part of our domestic team, Kerry has embraced her new position with enthusiasm and a genuine passion for supporting our residents.

Outside of work, Kerry is a devoted mum to her four children, keeping her very busy. We are grateful for the energy, care and positivity she brings to the activities team and know our residents are enjoying the variety of events she is helping to organise.

Congratulations to Dawn Baxter, our Employee of the Month!

Dawn has been a valued member of the Argyle Care Home team for the past three years, originally working within our laundry department. Dawn has seamlessly moved into a domestic role, continuing to support the home while also ensuring the laundry service continues to run smoothly.

Residents loved a cuddle this afternoon with baby Vinnie who came to visit 💙 he brought lots of smiles to everyone and the ladies reflected back on what it was like when they had babies of their own 💭

Resident Spotlight – David 🌟

This month's Resident Spotlight is on David, who recently celebrated the remarkable milestone of reaching 100 years of age.

David served in the Army for six years and has many fascinating stories and experiences from his time in service. He enjoys spending time at the beach, where he loves feeling the sand beneath his feet and the warmth of the sun on his face.

One of David's most admirable qualities is his kindness towards others. He is always willing to offer support and encouragement to anyone who may be struggling and is greatly appreciated by both residents and staff.

We are delighted to celebrate David and the positive contribution he continues to make to life at The Argyle.

Therapy Pony Visit 🐴

Residents and staff thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful visit from therapy ponies Flicker and Wilson today. The ponies brought lots of smiles, laughter, and conversation throughout the home, creating a calm and uplifting atmosphere for everyone involved. Residents had the opportunity to interact with, stroke, and spend time with the pony, which sparked happy memories and encouraged social engagement. The ponies were able to interact with residents in lounges and communal areas as well as from the comfort of their own bedrooms which ensured everyone had a chance for some time with them 💕

It was a truly special experience that was enjoyed by all, and we would like to thank Therapy Ponies Scotland for bringing so much joy to our home.😊🐴💜
