We absolutely adore welcoming our residents’ families to Penrose Croft – and that includes the furry members too! 🐶❤️

Our lovely HA, Laura, was enjoying some very special cuddle time with Miss T when she came in to visit her owner here at Penrose Croft. As you can see, Miss T was more than happy to receive some extra love and attention! 🥰🐾

At Penrose Croft, we truly believe that we are family. When someone makes Penrose Croft their home, their loved ones become part of our family too – and that most definitely includes their four-legged companions. 🐕🐾

To celebrate the National Day of Arts in Care Homes, we’re inviting you to sip, socialise and unleash your creativity at our fabulous Brushes & Bubbles afternoon!

Join the lovely Hayley for a relaxed painting session filled with bubbles, creativity and plenty of laughter. Whether you’re a budding Picasso or haven’t picked up a paintbrush since school, everyone is welcome—no artistic experience required! 🖌️✨

🦎🐍 Courage, curiosity and some very special visitors at Penrose Croft! 🐍🕷️

What an incredible afternoon we had at Penrose Croft when the wonderful team from The Creature Feature Show came to visit us – and they certainly brought some very interesting guests along with them! 😲🦎🐍

Our residents had the opportunity to meet and learn about some fascinating creatures up close. For some, this was a chance to face a few fears… and what a fantastic job they did! ❤️

There were a few nervous faces to begin with, but those soon turned into smiles, laughter, fascination and even a few very brave residents reaching out to say hello! 👏🥰

It was wonderful to see everyone supporting one another, sharing stories and enjoying such a unique experience together. Moments like this are exactly what community engagement at Penrose Croft is all about – trying something new, creating memories and having plenty of fun along the way!

A huge thank you to Steph and Nick from The Creature Feature Show for bringing your amazing animals to meet our residents and for providing such an engaging and memorable afternoon. Your visit brought so much joy to our home and we cannot wait for the next one in October. 💕

We are already looking forward to discovering what other adventures our community connections might bring!

🍪 A little bit of baking a lot of laughter! 🍪

There is nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked shortbread filling the home! 💕 Our residents at Penrose Croft had such a wonderful time getting together in the kitchen to make their very own shortbread biscuits.

There was plenty of mixing, rolling, cutting and of course laughter along the way! Mary Berry would be proud....

The best part? Sitting down together at tea time to enjoy the delicious biscuits they had made. ☕️🍪 They certainly got the seal of approval – and we think they tasted even better because they were made with a little bit of love, friendship and fun! ❤️

It is these simple moments of togetherness that make our days at Penrose Croft so special. 🥰 Living Well Every Day

🏏💜 Community Connections at Penrose Croft 💜🏡

We were delighted to welcome members of Helston Cricket Club to Penrose Croft for their committee meeting.

It was lovely to open our doors and provide a welcoming space for the committee to get together, catch up and discuss all things Helston Cricket Club — with a few complimentary refreshments to enjoy along the way! ☕🍰

At Penrose Croft, we are passionate about being much more than a care home. We want to be a true community hub, where local clubs, charities, organisations and groups feel welcome and can make use of our spaces.

We believe that community engagement is about bringing people together, building relationships and creating opportunities for connection across Helston and the surrounding areas.

It was a pleasure to have Helston Cricket Club with us, and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon!

💜 A Little Pampering, A Little Indulgence... Living Well Every Day at Penrose Croft 💜

At Penrose Croft, we believe that the little things can make a big difference. ✨

Today, two of our residents were enjoying two very different treats — and both were making the most of life at their new home. 🥰

💇‍♀️ A little pampering at our on-site hair salon

One of our residents enjoyed some well-deserved time in our beautiful hair salon. There is something rather lovely about having your hair done, enjoying a chat and a little bit of pampering without even having to leave home!

☕🍰 Coffee, cake and a little indulgence

Meanwhile, another resident was enjoying our bistro coffee and some delicious homemade treats. A perfect opportunity to sit back, enjoy something tasty and have a friendly chat.

These might seem like simple moments, but they are exactly what Living Well Every Day is all about.

At Penrose Croft, we want our residents to continue enjoying the things they love — whether that's looking and feeling their best, enjoying delicious food and coffee, spending time with friends, or simply having a lovely afternoon.

We have been completely overwhelmed—in the very best way—by the number of enquiries, visits and lovely conversations we’ve received since opening Penrose Croft. The response from our community has been truly incredible, and we are thankful to every family who has placed their trust in us. We are incredibly grateful—and so excited to welcome each of our new residents to the Penrose Croft family.

There is such a wonderful buzz growing around Penrose Croft, and it’s incredibly exciting to see our new home coming to life with laughter, friendships and plenty of activity!

At Penrose Croft, admitting safely will always come before admitting quickly. We carefully plan each arrival so that every new resident receives the time, attention and reassurance they deserve—helping them feel comfortable, settled and genuinely at home from the moment they arrive.

This reflects the values at the heart of Crystal Care Collection: providing compassionate, person-centred care and ensuring that every resident is treated as an individual. 💚

We are thrilled to share that all of our available admission appointments are now booked until the second week of October. We have opened our admissions diary from the second week of October onwards. If you are considering permanent or respite care, we warmly encourage you to contact us early to discuss your needs, arrange a tour and secure a suitable date.

Wow… 500 followers! What an incredible milestone for Penrose Croft. 🥰

We honestly cannot thank you enough for all the support, encouragement, kind messages, shares, likes and lovely comments you have given us since we began this journey.

When we started sharing the story of Penrose Croft, our hope was to introduce not just a new care home, but a new community — a place where residents, families, friends, local organisations and the wider Helston community could come together.

Already, we have been blown away by the warmth and support we have received. 💜

From our first residents arriving, to our wonderful community partnerships, events, visits, lunches, friendships and conversations, it has been incredible to see Penrose Croft becoming part of the community we are so proud to serve.

500 followers may be a number, but behind every follower is a person who has taken the time to connect with us — and that means so much.

On Wednesday 9th September, we’re inviting local Blue Light workers to join us at Penrose Croft for a well-deserved breakfast and a friendly hello! 💙

Whether you work with the police, fire and rescue service, ambulance service, NHS emergency and urgent care teams, coastguard, search and rescue, or another frontline emergency service—we’d love to welcome you.

It’s our small way of saying thank you to the incredible people who work around the clock to protect, support and care for our community. No speeches, no fuss—just good food, hot drinks and a chance to meet our residents and team! ☕🍳
