Solution-focused talking therapy and hypnotherapy for those who want more calm, confidence, and control. I work with riders to turn nerves into focus, fear into confidence, and hesitation into purpose. Using solution-focused psychotherapy and sports psychology I can help you:

• Stay calm under pressure
• Bounce back from mistakes quickly
• Build confidence you can feel in every stride

No jarg

on, no long sessions, just practical tools you can use immediately, in the saddle and beyond. Whether you’re competing, hacking, or just riding for fun, my goal is simple: help you enjoy your riding while performing at your best. Because it’s not about perfection — it’s about connection, confidence, and calm!!

LOOKING FOR EQUESTRIAN PARTNERS

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with some incredible riders, coaches and equestrian professionals as part of what has gradually become my Silvolutions Partner Team.

Many of these riders first came to me looking to improve confidence, manage nerves, stop overthinking or simply enjoy their riding more. Since then, members of the team have gone on to achieve some incredible things, including competing at National Championships, riding at HOYS, representing Team GB, progressing through the levels, and achieving goals they once thought were out of reach.

Others have achieved something just as important, perhaps even more so. They’ve rediscovered their confidence, rebuilt their enjoyment, and fallen back in love with riding again.

With a handful of spaces now available, I’m looking to welcome up to 10 new riders or equestrian professionals to join the team.

I’m particularly interested in hearing from coaches, instructors, yard owners, competitors, equine professionals, riding club members, or simply passionate horse owners who are active within the equestrian community and happy to share their experiences with others.

In return, partner sessions are available at £40 per session rather than my usual fee.

I’m not necessarily looking for influencers or people with massive social media followings. What matters far more is being someone who is respected within the equestrian world, enjoys supporting others, and is committed to their own development both in and out of the saddle.

If you’d like to improve your confidence, manage competition nerves, overcome anxiety, stop overthinking, improve focus, or simply get more enjoyment from your riding, I’d love to hear from you.

📩 Send me a message for an informal chat.

🎉🐴 1,000 FOLLOWERS = 10 FREE CONSULTATIONS 🐴🎉

To celebrate and to thank you for reaching 1,000 followers, I’m offering 10 FREE initial consultations between now and the end of August.

If you’ve been struggling with anxiety, confidence, overthinking, stress, performance nerves, self-esteem, or simply feeling a bit stuck, this is an opportunity for us to sit down and have a chat about what’s been going on and, more importantly, where you’d like to be instead.

No pressure. No sales pitch. No obligation.

Just a chance to talk things through, explore what might help, and see whether hypnotherapy and solution-focused therapy could be a good fit for you.

As many of you know, a large part of my work is with equestrians. Riders who have lost confidence, competitors battling nerves, or people who know they’re capable of more but find themselves getting in their own way. The funny thing is that whether you’re in the saddle, at work, running a business, or just trying to navigate everyday life, the challenges are often remarkably similar.

Before anything else, though, I just want to say thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has followed the page, shared a post, recommended my services, trusted me as a therapist, or quietly supported the business from the sidelines. Reaching 1,000 followers feels like a lovely milestone for a small Cornish business and I genuinely appreciate every one of you ❤️

📩 If you’d like one of the 10 free consultation spaces, send me a message.

Has anyone else’s expectations completely ignored the fact that we’re apparently living on the surface of the sun at the moment? 🥵☀️

The heat has definitely had an impact on my running recently. Paces have slowed, runs have felt harder, and there have been several occasions where I’ve stepped outside and immediately questioned my life choices.

If I’m honest, it’s also forced me to adjust my goals.

Instead of chasing certain paces and times, I’ve spent more time focusing on effort, recovery, and listening to what my body needs. Ironically, by slowing down and taking some of the pressure off, I’ve recently managed to run a 10k personal best.

Funny how that works.

It got me thinking about how often we do this in life.

Back in April, I completed the London Marathon. At the time, I came away disappointed because I’d fallen short of the goal I’d set myself. I focused on the gap between where I was and where I wanted to be.

What I didn’t do was compare myself to the version of me from a year earlier.

That version of me wasn’t running marathons. That version of me wasn’t setting personal bests. Yet it’s amazing how easily our brains overlook progress when we’re too busy focusing on perfection.

I see it with clients all the time. We focus on what’s still wrong rather than what’s improved. We notice the wobble but forget to acknowledge how much stronger we’ve become. We compare ourselves to who we think we should be instead of recognising how far we’ve already come.

Sometimes progress isn’t about pushing harder.

Sometimes it’s about adapting, adjusting the plan, and continuing forward anyway.

So if things aren’t quite going to plan right now, take a moment to look back at where you started.

You might be doing far better than you’re giving yourself credit for. 😊

A small favour to ask of those who have supported Silvolutions over the years. 😊

One of the questions I’m often asked is, “How do you advertise?”

The honest answer is that I don’t do a huge amount. Mostly I sit around in my pants during this rather ridiculous heatwave, drink far too much coffee, create content, and hope that Facebook occasionally shows it to somebody who might find it useful.

Most of the people who find their way to me do so because somebody they trust has mentioned my name, shared a post, recommended the page, or spoken positively about their own experience.

When you’re looking for support with anxiety, confidence, overthinking, stress, performance nerves, smoking cessation, or any of the many challenges that life likes to throw at us, trust matters. A recommendation from a friend, family member, colleague, or fellow rider often means far more than any advert ever could.

So if you’ve found my posts helpful, if we’ve worked together in the past, or if you’ve simply enjoyed following the page, I’d be incredibly grateful if you’d consider helping me reach a few more people.

A share, a recommendation, a review, or even tagging someone who might benefit from a post can make a bigger difference than you might realise.

To everyone who has supported Silvolutions so far, whether you’ve booked a session, attended a workshop, shared a post, or recommended me to somebody else, thank you! Genuinely.! Your support helps me continue doing a job that I absolutely love. ❤️

Comparison vs Self-Improvement 💭

One of the things I notice quite regularly, both in the therapy room and in everyday life, is how many people think they’re working on self-improvement when actually they’re spending most of their time comparing themselves to other people.

They look at someone else’s business, relationship, riding, career, confidence or social media profile and immediately start measuring themselves against it, often deciding they’re somehow behind, not doing enough, or should be further along by now.

The trouble is that comparison and self-improvement are very different things.

Self-improvement is curious. It asks, “What can I learn from this?” or “What’s the next step for me?” Comparison is judgemental. It asks, “Why aren’t I as good as them?” and then usually proceeds to make you feel a bit s**t.

Most of the time you’re comparing your normal everyday life, complete with all the doubts, mistakes and worries that come with being human, to somebody else’s carefully selected highlights. You’re seeing the rosettes but not the setbacks, the finish lines but not the early mornings, the success stories but not the moments where they wondered whether they could carry on.

There will always be someone faster, richer, more experienced or further ahead than you. If your confidence depends on being better than everyone else, you’re playing a game that nobody can ever win because the goalposts keep moving.

A far more useful question is this:

“Am I moving in the right direction for me?”

Because your life isn’t a competition with everyone else. It’s a relationship with yourself. ❤️

Monday Mindset 💭☀️

It’s looking like another bloody hot week, so here’s your Monday reminder that you don’t have to tackle life at 100mph just because it’s Monday.

A lot of people start the week with a head full of everything they need to get done and then beat themselves up when they don’t have the energy, motivation or focus to power through it all. The thing is, we’re not machines. We don’t perform the same way every day, and when it’s roasting outside it’s perfectly normal to feel a bit slower, a bit more tired and a bit less inclined to charge around like you’ve got something to prove. 🥵

So adjust accordingly.

Drink more water. Take more breaks. Slow the pace a little if you need to. Focus on the next useful thing rather than trying to carry the entire week around in your head at once.

The goal isn’t to win the week by Monday lunchtime. The goal is to get through the week without running yourself into the ground. ☕️🌿

Be productive where you can, rest where you need to, and remember that looking after yourself isn’t being lazy, it’s being sensible.

Have a good week folks. ❤️☀️

Sat in the shade of a tree for a few minutes today and it got me thinking about how many people spend their lives waiting for permission to rest.

We’re so used to being busy that doing absolutely bu**er all for ten minutes can feel uncomfortable. There’s always another job to do, another email to answer, another corner of the house that needs sorting, another thing on the list that apparently can’t wait.

A lot of people tell themselves they’ll rest when the work is done, when life settles down, when they’ve achieved the goal, when they’ve got everything under control. The trouble is there’s always something else. The finish line keeps moving and before you know it, you’ve spent years believing rest is something that has to be earned.

So perhaps the question isn’t “Have I earned a break?”

Perhaps it’s “Why do I think I need to?”

Because rest isn’t laziness. It isn’t weakness. It isn’t wasting time. It’s part of being human.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is sit in the shade, breathe for a few minutes, and let your mind catch the f**k up with the rest of you.

🌳☀️

This morning’s therapy tip?

Drink the coffee before it goes cold. ☕️ That’s it.

No complicated mindset strategy. No life-changing insight. No seven-step plan to become the best version of yourself.

Just a few minutes walking by the river with a coffee in hand and nowhere urgent to be.

We spend so much of our lives rushing towards the next thing that we often forget we’re allowed to enjoy the bit we’re currently in.

The walk. The sunshine. The conversation. The quiet. The coffee.

Not everything has to be productive to be worthwhile.

Sometimes the most useful thing you can do for your wellbeing is stop trying to optimise every moment and simply experience it.

The world will still be there when you’ve finished your coffee. ☕️🌿
