✨ **A new look, a new style ✨**

KM wanted to choose a new pair of glasses that was completely different from her original frame.

After trying on several different styles and colours, she fell in love with this beautiful round Gucci frame in a grey blue — not because it matched her outfit, but because it complemented her features and looked amazing on her. 💙

The lovely BM has just recently had her cataracts done and needed to upgrade her prescription glasses.

With the sun being out in full force she has opted for - these lenses are clear indoors and darken when outside. This means she doesn't need to carry around 2 pairs of spectacles.

Do you think we will make it?

We have decided to take part in 1,000,000 step challenge that started back in June and finishes at the end of August. Not only is it to raise money but it is also to raise our fitness levels - we thought it would be easy - after all walking 10000 steps a day each is doable, right? Wrong- how wrong we were!

Often you will see us in town rushing around looking at our phones to see how many steps we have done, or walking up and down in the practice to try and clock up those steps. We are lucky that the evenings are bright and so we can sometimes manage to get home and walk after dinner but only if the heat is bearable.

So far we are doing just ok - sometimes not even managing anywhere near 10000 steps but hey every step counts right? That's what i keep telling myself 😆

PS We have named our team Duo in a Million - what do think of the name?

☀️ Hot Weather & Dry Eyes: What You Need to Know
Summer heat isn’t just uncomfortable for your skin — it can seriously affect your eyes too.
When temperatures rise, dry air, air conditioning, wind, and increased UV exposure can all reduce tear stability, leading to dry, irritated, and gritty eyes.
👁️ Common symptoms include:
• Burning or stinging sensation
• Red or watery eyes
• Blurred or fluctuating vision
• Feeling like something is “in” your eye
💡 Simple tips to protect your eyes this summer:
• Stay well hydrated 💧
• Use lubricating eye drops (preservative-free if needed)
• Wear UV-protective sunglasses 🕶️
• Avoid direct air-con or fan airflow to the face
• Take screen breaks (blink more!)
If symptoms persist, it could be dry eye disease, which is very common and treatable.
