💙 Training, Teamwork & Lots of Laughter at Caremark Dacorum! 💙

Over the last two days, our wonderful team at Caremark Dacorum has been taking part in First Aid, Moving and Handling, and Medication Training.

Providing excellent care at home is at the heart of everything we do, which is why ongoing training is so important. During our sessions, we learned about the importance of CPR, how to use a defibrillator in an emergency, how to respond if someone is choking, and how to support and move people safely while always maintaining their dignity, comfort, and independence.

Our carers can be faced with challenging and unexpected situations, so it's essential that they have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide the highest standard of care when it matters most. Training like this helps ensure we're always equipped to deliver safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.

A huge thank you to all our amazing team members who attended. We had such a laugh together, shared experiences, learned from one another, and strengthened our skills as a team. We are incredibly proud of the dedication, compassion, and professionalism shown by our staff every day. 💙

OPALS (Older Persons Activity Learning and Safety) at Kings Langley Community Centre

It was wonderful to attend the recent OPALS (Older Persons Activity Learning and Safety) event at Kings Langley Community Centre. The event highlighted the wide range of support, advice and services available to help older people stay safe, active, independent and connected within the community.

A special thank you to Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service for delivering an excellent and informative talk on home safety, sharing practical tips to help residents reduce risks and stay safe in their homes. Attendees also enjoyed a great selection of refreshments provided by HILS, which were very much appreciated.

Events like OPALS are a fantastic opportunity for older residents to learn about local services, meet community organisations and access the support available to help them live well and remain independent. 👏🏡🚒☕️

As proud Gold Sponsors of Berkhamsted Bowls Club 💖, we recently hosted an evening bowls event for our team and some local businesses and it turned out to be an absolutely brilliant evening .

At Caremark Dacorum, we’re a CQC- registered Doctor‑led home care provider in Dacorum and building genuine community partnerships is at the heart of how we work. This event was a perfect example of that.

We’re incredibly grateful to the wonderful members of , who not only helped us organise the evening but also gave everyone a proper trial session on the green. Their dedication, patience and good humour made the experience unforgettable.

For many, it was their very first time trying bowls which made it even more fun. With friendly guidance (and plenty of laughs), everyone picked up the game quickly and enjoyed some light‑hearted team competition.

More importantly, the evening gave us the chance to meet and greet local businesses for the first time. It was relaxed, engaging and full of great conversations about the fantastic work happening across our community. A simple game of bowls became a meaningful way to build new connections and strengthen existing ones.

Events like this remind us how valuable community partnerships truly are -they help us grow, collaborate and support one another.
