What an emotional video to watch. ❤️🎶
Seeing our residents singing along with Louise, smiling, laughing and completely lost in the music was truly beautiful.
Music is such an incredible tool in care homes. It can bring back memories, awaken emotions, create connection and, most importantly, bring people together. Sometimes a familiar song can say what words cannot. ❤️

What a truly fantastic afternoon at Uppermead with the wonderful Louise from Sit, Fit & Sing! ❤️

The residents absolutely adored her, and it was so beautiful to see their faces light up as they joined in, moved to the music and, of course, showed Louise just how talented they are when it comes to singing! 🎶🥰

There was so much laughter, joy and togetherness in the room. Moments like these are what make such a difference — creating memories, bringing people together and reminding us that music really does have a special way of reaching the heart. ❤️

A huge thank you to Louise for bringing so much energy, warmth and happiness to our afternoon. We can’t wait to do it all again! 🎤💃🎶

Uppermead residents are back at it in the hydro pool!

And honestly… I think we may have discovered a few future hydrotherapy experts! Watch out, physios — there’s some serious competition coming your way!

Today’s session was full of smiles, laughter, movement and a wonderful sense of achievement. It’s amazing to see how the hydro pool can give residents the freedom to move, exercise and simply enjoy themselves in a safe and supportive environment.

For some, it’s about keeping active. For others, it’s confidence, independence or simply having a brilliant time with friends.

Whatever the reason, one thing was very clear today… Uppermead absolutely loved it!

The only question now is whether we’re going to be able to get them out of the pool next time!

🐾❤️ DUG’S DAY OUT: WELLNESS CHAMPION ON TOUR! 🐾

Move over, staff… Dug the Wellness Champion was on duty! 😂🐶

Today, Dug packed his waggy tail and headed over to Uppermead with one very important mission: make people smile and investigate the treat situation! 🍪👀

And, as always, Dug took his job VERY seriously… although we’re not entirely convinced the treats were officially included in his job description! 😂

There’s something incredibly special about dogs in care homes. 🐾❤️ Their visits can bring comfort, companionship and connection, often sparking memories and conversations without anyone needing to say a word.

For people living with dementia, a familiar furry face can sometimes create an instant moment of recognition and joy. A gentle stroke, a wagging tail or a cheeky nose looking for treats can brighten someone's whole day. 🥰

And Dug? Well, he seems to believe his professional qualifications include cuddling, smiling, tail-wagging and advanced biscuit detection. 🐶🏆🍪

💙 Another Beautiful Day at Hydropool 💙

Our wonderful Uppermead residents were lucky enough to visit Hydropool again, and what an incredible experience it was! 🥰🌊

Seeing the happiness on their faces and hearing their laughter was truly heartwarming. Their joy was so infectious that it had the staff smiling from ear to ear too. 💕

Hydropool is so much more than a swim — it creates moments of calm, connection, confidence and pure happiness. Watching our residents relax, enjoy themselves and simply be in the moment reminds us why these experiences are so important for wellbeing. 🌸

It was one of those special days where you could feel the positivity in the room. Memories were made, smiles were shared, and hearts were full. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone at Hydropool for helping us create such meaningful experiences for our residents. We can’t wait to do it all again! 🌊💙✨

🎶 Kilts, Kicks & Plenty of Giggles!

Uppermead was at it again with the fantastic Burns Gym boys and their famous kilts! 😂

There were loads of laughs, smiles and plenty of movement, with arms and legs flying in every direction! 💪🦵 It was brilliant to see our residents getting involved, having fun and giving their bodies a good workout.

Exercise isn’t just about keeping our bodies moving — it can also help with strength, balance, flexibility, confidence and overall wellbeing. And when you add a few Scottish lads in kilts into the mix… well, the smiles come for free! 😂

A huge well done to everyone who joined in — you certainly put the “fun” into functional exercise! 👏💙

🐾 Wellness Champion Dug is at it again! 🐾💛

Dug has been back at Uppermead, doing what he does best — bringing smiles, cuddles and a little bit of furry magic to our residents! 🐶🥰

There’s something truly special about the way dogs can brighten a care home. A wagging tail can spark a memory, a gentle cuddle can bring comfort, and sometimes just having a four-legged friend beside you is enough to turn an ordinary day into a very special one. ❤️

For our residents, Dug isn’t just a visitor… he’s a Wellness Champion, mood booster and professional smile-maker! 🐾🏆

Because sometimes the best therapy has four paws, a wet nose and absolutely no idea how important he is. 🥹🐶❤️
