Everyone loves a chair dance and Kath really enjoyed her time dancing with Abbie! We also put our all into armchair exercise this morning, it was rather warm inside, very different to yesterdays outside programme!

Today was our Residents’ Meeting, giving everyone the opportunity to share their thoughts, ideas and feedback about life in the home. It was wonderful to hear so many positive comments and to discuss ways we can continue to make Mockley Manor an enjoyable and meaningful place to live.

One of the highlights of the meeting was talking about how we can use our amenity fund to create some new meaningful occupation spaces within the home grounds. Residents shared their ideas and suggestions, and we are delighted that the plans were so warmly received!

Thank you to everyone who took part. Listening to our residents and involving them in decisions that matter to them is so important, and we are excited to bring some of these wonderful ideas to life. 🌷🌿😊

What a busy morning we had, residents glued their pictures to our collage, it started off small but has ended up being over 5 feet tall! What a great bunch of budding photographers we have 🥰😍

📸 Today was Camera Day and our residents became photographers for the morning! Everyone was asked what they would most like to capture, and the results were wonderfully varied. Some residents enjoyed taking selfies, while others chose to photograph paintings, flowers, nature, and all the little things that caught their eye.

It was lovely to see everyone’s creativity shine and to hear the stories behind their chosen subjects. Tomorrow, we’ll be bringing all of the photographs together to create a special collage to display and enjoy.

To finish the morning, residents took part in some towel folding as a meaningful occupation activity, promoting independence and providing a calming and purposeful way to round off a busy and creative morning.

We can’t wait to share our finished collage with you tomorrow! 📷🖼️✨

It’s rare to have all my lovely nurses together ( sorry you couldn’t come Caroline but you were with us in spirit) I just wanted to say a big thank you to them all. We had our nurse meeting today which was really positive and engaging. To see my team come to me in role of care assistants and see them grow and develop is just fantastic. Thank you to each and everyone of you x

We are very proud of the bunting our talented residents coloured for us to celebrate the World Cup! We only wish we had room for every single flag!
