Your movement practice doesn’t need to be perfect; it just needs to be consistent.

Finding a dedicated hour in a busy schedule is tough, so try habit stacking.

Simply combine an existing routine, like a morning walk, with dynamic balance work to prime your nervous system for the day ahead.

Look at your environment differently today and find a small way to move. 🧠✨

Ageing disgracefully? Always. Just moving more mindfully. 🤸‍♀️✨

A bit of backyard barefoot parkour to see if the muscle memory is still there four years on. Jumping up, walking the wall, and landing with control. 👣 🌱

The movement feels easier, plus I still have my number one fan watching my form. 🐾

Never let age dictate what your body can do.

💥 Stuck in a cycle of stiffness and aches?

When your body is stressed or out of alignment, your brain locks your muscles solid to protect your joints. As a soft tissue therapist, I work with clients to break that bracing cycle. ✨

What recent clients are saying:

« The clicking of the neck’s reduced a lot. » -> Releasing tight muscles stops joint compression so you move smoothly.

« The massage on my shoulders felt amazing. » -> It instantly melts away the tension built up from daily stress and desk work.

« It’s loosened up from the movement. » -> Pairing hands-on therapy with isolated movement reminds your brain it is safe to let go.

« Feeling 20 years younger. » -> Your body wastes massive energy fighting restriction. Release it, and get your energy back.

If your body feels like one solid block, let’s get you moving fluidly again. 🌊

True or False: If you have a muscle tear, it will always hurt where the injury is?

❌ FALSE.

The spot that hurts is often just the muscle that is screaming from doing everyone else’s job.

Take the transition I’m doing here from a passive hang to an active hang. To do this safely, my serratus anterior (the muscle wrapping around my ribs) has to fire to stabilise my shoulder blades.
If that muscle is weak or « sleepy »:

1️⃣ My shoulder blade destabilises.

2️⃣ My upper traps, neck, and biceps (hello bent arms!) have to take over to hold my weight.

3️⃣ Over time, that constant pinching and extra stress can lead to a chronic, silent tear in the rotator cuff or biceps tendon.
You might not feel the tear at all. Instead, you’ll just feel a horribly tight, painful neck or an ache in your upper back.

💡 If hanging is too much load for now, don’t force it! Try the wall slides variation I shared previously to wake up that serratus anterior safely.

If you only treat where it hurts, you miss the actual problem. Always look at function and movement mechanics, not just the site of pain! 🧠💪

Ever feel like you are constantly stretching the same tight spot, but it never actually releases? 🔄

When it comes to your body, consistency beats intensity every single time.

A random massage once every few months is a lovely treat, but establishing a weekly soft tissue baseline is a total game changer.

Swipe through to see exactly what happens when you commit to a weekly routine:

1️⃣ Realignment: Your bones go where your muscles pull them. Releasing tight tissue allows your skeleton to find its natural alignment, especially when paired with targeted bolstering and bringing sleepy muscles back online.

2️⃣ Safe & Gentle: It is gentle enough for high frequency care, boosting your circulation without putting unnecessary stress on your joints.

3️⃣ Deep Relaxation: It flips the switch on chronic stress, moving your nervous system from « fight or flight » into « rest and digest » (hello, better sleep!).

4️⃣ Enhanced Mobility: It melts away stubborn tension whilst keeping your joints stable and strong.

Think of it as your body’s ultimate weekly reset button. 🌿

How do you look after your muscles each week? Let me know in the comments below! 👇 🙏

From mindful self-observation to spontaneous play. ✨

Movement shouldn’t always feel like a chore. This was just 10 seconds of listening to my body and running for the sheer joy of it.

If you want to get more connected to how your body moves, starting at a slower pace is key.

Catch up on my latest reel about barefoot walking to explore the foundations. 👣

If walking or running is too much for you, simply allowing your feet to touch the grass as you sit on a chair or the ground is wonderfully grounding.

How are you moving your body today?

There’s always something to learn from self-observation!

When was the last time you walked barefoot?
