For a long time I thought admitting I was struggling would undo my credibility.
Turns out it’s the opposite.
The last 8 months have held grief, navigating old family patterns and starting to rebuild new ones, finishing my MSc, and a body and mind going through more change than I expected.
I kept showing up. I kept training. I kept teaching.
Most people would never have known.
I coach women who think it’s easy for me. It isn’t. It’s the same for me. I see the same thing in the men I work with too, just held differently, and it matters just as much. But I’m speaking as a woman here, because this is the layer I’ve lived, not just watched.
I asked for help when I needed it. It helped. It also cost me something. I found my way back, just a version of myself who’s finally willing to take her own advice.
August, I’m taking off. To rest properly, and to build the next chapter of this work from steadier ground.
There are lots of new and exciting things on the horizon for me and you which o can’t wait to share.
And a both thank you to all of my patients who when I told really supported my decision to take sometime out and were pleased for me, I am so grateful to you all. đź’•
And of course I will still be in here, posting away and maybe even a little bit more.
Take care and enjoy the summer!
