What a hot and dry couple of months we have had! ☀️

We have been trying to water the trees as much as we can, but its a balancing act with so many trees on site and the amount of water that it would take to keep them all watered.

We are very much hoping for rain soon. 💧🌧️

In the meantime, this Musk mallow certainly seems to be coping with the hot temperatures!

We are mid-way through strimming and scything at Humber. This takes quite some time so please do bear with us as we cut, rake and remove the grass.

🦋🐝 So many insects at Humber, and they are never very keen on posing for photos!

I did manage to get a couple of shots of a butterfly and a bee before they fluttered and buzzed off to another patch of wildflowers. ☺️

Butterflies and bees are a sign of thriving biodiversity and a healthy, flourishing environment. Because they act as vital pollinators, their presence indicates a strong, balanced local ecosystem capable of supporting plant growth.

As the oxeye daisies begin to fade at Humber, they're making way for a stunning display of pinks and purples in every shade across the field. 🩷💜

🌸 Great knapweed
🌸 Field scabious
🌸 Lesser knapweed

These colourful blooms are popular with butterflies, bees and other pollinators, making this a wonderful time to visit. 🩷💜

📌Join us on Saturday 11 July, from 11am to 2pm, at Humber Woodland for a charity book sale.

Browse a selection of books and enjoy refreshments available throughout the day. All donations will go to the Cheltenham Hospital Cancer Fundraiser – The Big Space*.
