Leigh (sw_buff_essex on Instagram) has always had a passion for helping others. For years as teacher, she supported her students to achieve their goals. Now she’s swapping the schoolyard for scales and becoming a Slimming World Consultant ✨!

Thank you BBC Hereford & Worcester and for inviting me on this morning to talk about how Slimming World supports members using GLP-1 medication. I am incredibly proud of every single member who walks through my door each week as I know the commitment needed on a weight loss journey. The fab news which I will continue to shout about loud and proud is that Slimming World works for everyone ❤️

🎉 WOW! In May alone, my Slimming World members lost an incredible 31 stone between them!

In fact, they lost a staggering 439 lbs (199 kg) – about the same weight as 2 adult giant pandas!!

Every pound lost represents someone making positive changes, building healthy habits and moving closer to their goals. I'm so proud of every single member, whether they lost half a pound or several stone.

Slimming World changed my life. It is as simple as that. And it definitely isn’t 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 about the weight you lose…it’s definitely about the life you gain!

I would never have even considered a speedboat ride before my own weight loss…

Would I be told I was too heavy for the boat?
Would people stare?
Would the life jacket fit?
Would the seat be big enough?
Would I be able to walk the 61 cliff steps down let alone back up again?

Each and every non-scale victory along the road to health and self-love is a precious achievement so embrace the journey and learn to be proud of yourself.

Having a focus, a goal, enabled me to take back control.
