Marches Counselling Service A charity providing professional, confidential and affordable counselling and psychotherapy service for people in Herefordshire.

We don't have a waiting list and match client to counsellor. We also offer a professional network group for therapists. Marches Counselling Service is a charity that provides affordable, flexible and ethical support to adults in Herefordshire who are struggling with life issues. We provide a safe place to talk: daytimes, evenings and even Saturdays. People can contact us directly to arrange an ini

tial appointment of up to 90minutes, ongoing sessions are agreed at that meeting, if counselling is the right way forward. As Hereford is a small city, we do not offer a drop-in service, but arrange appointments in advance to preserve privacy and anonymity. Our office is staffed Mondays – Fridays between 10am – 1pm. Outside of those hours people can leave a message on our confidential telephone answer machine.

While Marches Counselling Service is not a crisis service, for crisis support please call the NHS 24/7 mental health helpline on 0808 196 9127 or 111.

If a life is in danger, call 999 or go to the A&E.

This weekend, The Barrels Hereford hosted their 34th Charity B**r Festival to raise money for a variety of charitable causes.

We are so grateful to be one of the charities to benefit from these funds, and we wanted to give a massive thank you to everyone at The Barrels and beyond who helped organise, host, and support this event. Because of you, our charity will be able to offer more low-cost counselling sessions to people in Herefordshire who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford sessions.

We are extremely grateful for the support, and we are glad to be neighbors with such a great team of people.

🚨We are excited to share that we have reached our pledge goal for the Big Give Christmas Challenge!

❄️ This means we now have the opportunity of unlock matched funding for donations received during the campaign week this winter season - taking place from the 1st to the 8th of December (midday) 2026.

🤝 If you didn’t get a chance to pledge, or the minimum pledge amount was higher than you were comfortable with, we invite you to donate during the campaign week instead. Your contributions could make a real difference: it will allow us to subsidise more sessions for people in Herefordshire who could not otherwise afford timely mental health support.

💙 There will be more reminders to come as the campaign week approaches, but for now we wanted to say than you to our Pledgers - and to our wider community - for your support.
