03/08/2026

The Big Economic Delivery Plan is Herefordshire’s roadmap for turning its long-term economic vision into action over the next three years. It focuses on the practical steps needed to help the county grow, create opportunities, and improve quality of life for residents.

The plan is built around four key priorities:

Place – creating attractive places to live through housing, regeneration and cultural investment.

People & Communities – helping residents develop the skills needed for future jobs and supporting young people into employment.

Business Growth – backing local businesses, attracting investment, and growing sectors such as agri-tech, manufacturing, defence and technology.

Infrastructure – improving transport, digital connectivity, energy networks and major projects that unlock growth.

The aim is simple - to create a stronger, more sustainable and more prosperous Herefordshire by focusing on the projects and partnerships that will have the biggest impact over the next few years, while working towards the county’s vision for 2050.
