This week nearly 3400 players from 56 countries have descended upon Birmingham’s NEC for the English OPEN.

Well done to Mandy & Chris who played yesterday. So proud to see our players on court.

To everyone playing or just going up to enjoy the atmosphere, shop and pick up some tips ~ have the best time!

Our Wednesday day time social session is always over subscribed and many of you wanted more pickleball in your lives so a new session has been added to Spond. A massive thank you to Theresa for the time and energy you put into the day time groups. 👏

Our social sessions are for players of any ability, any experience. It’s just for fun and fitness.

We now run social sessions on:

Mondays 11am - 1pm
Wednesdays 11am - 1pm
Fridays 7pm - 9pm

☀️ No we are not on holiday, this is Hereford. It’s not often we get to play pickleball with a backdrop like this.

☀️ We were lucky to be invited to try out the new pickleball courts at Madley Tennis Club and can confirm the courts and facilities there are great and it’s a lovely change to be able to play outdoors.

☀️ This is how summer should be don’t you think?

Dear Picklers,

Hereford Pickleball Club are making a few changes to the sessions we offer.

Listening to feedback from many of our members, and monitoring booking levels for each session, Wednesday 11.00 - 13.00, and Friday 19.00 -21.00, will be our designated social sessions. These are sessions where players of any ability are welcomed. Introduction sessions for new players will now take place on a Friday evening. Saturday mornings will continue with a mixture of pairs play, ranking sessions, and additional club development sessions to facilitate our participation in cross county leagues.

We know that coaching and skill development is enjoyed by many members so we will be looking at how to best support this over the coming months.

We continue to be amazed by the enthusiasm shown by our club, with the game play, sportsmanship, and comradery being outstanding. A special shout out to the Wednesday group who not only play great pickle but have cultivated a fantastic social group. Trips to the pub for lunch ought to be written into the constitution. Thank you also to all who attended the social on Saturday at the newly opened Spire and Vine. It was great to see such a turn out and we hope there were not too many sore heads this morning.
