If you attended last years Adult Autism/ADHD/AuDHD Information and Support Event you may remember the wonderful Eden and Osha who spoke at the event. Some of you had asked to be kept updated on their journey, I am delighted to be able to share this with you. A huge well done to you both, I'm so proud of you!

"Nearly a year ago, Osha and I had the absolute pleasure of speaking at this wonderful event. We were so touched by how many of you connected with us - and by the number of people who asked us to come back with an update on how university was going. πŸ’™

Well... WE DID IT. πŸŽ“

I'm incredibly proud to say that I have now graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Marine Zoology, achieving one of the highest grades I could have hoped for.

Three years of studying, struggling, learning, growing, laughing, crying, loving, and somehow keeping going through it all. Three years of lectures, practicals, labs, long days, overwhelming moments, incredible experiences and a whole lot of support from the people around me - including my amazing assistance dog, Osha. πŸ•β€πŸ¦ΊπŸŒŠ

As an autistic person living with bipolar disorder, university was not always straightforward. There were times when simply getting through the day felt like an achievement, let alone completing a degree. But I did it. Not perfectly, not without challenges, and certainly not in the way everyone expected me to - but I did it.

I'm now a scientist.

A marine biologist.

A graduate.

And I'm ridiculously proud of that. πŸ₯ΉπŸ’™

Osha has been there through so much of this journey too, and I couldn't imagine these photos without her. From university days to underwater adventures, she's been by my side through it all. 🐾

So, to everyone who remembered us from last year, asked for an update, cheered us on, or simply needed to see that a neurodivergent person can pursue big dreams in their own way:

Here's your update. We graduated. πŸŽ“πŸŒŠπŸ•β€πŸ¦Ί

And if you're currently struggling through your own journey, please remember: your path doesn't have to look like anyone else's for it to be worth celebrating.

I DID THAT. ❀️"

The local library and museum was my favourite place to be as a child, so it is very exciting that our book is available to loan from Herefordshire Libraries (available in Hereford and Leominster).

Shout out to the lovely lady that ended up enjoying the moment with me πŸ’š
