Staying hydrated is so important, especially in such hot weather. At Kemble we have our office freezer full of ice creams and ice lollies for staff and clients that pop in to see us.

Stop Infection, Drink More!

- Aim for 6-8 drinks per day, unless advised otherwise by your GP
- Drink more in the morning if you worry about getting up at night
- Do not wait until you feel thirsty to have a drink
- Choose drinks that you like and are likely to finish

Last Thursday, Karen Price from Wiltshire Farm Foods came and delivered a great course on Malnutrition & Dysphagia to some of our staff. We had opportunities to try some Level 4 pureed foods as well as experience how someone with Dysphagia might feel when eating. It was a great course and we are looking to welcoming Karen back in a few weeks time do deliver another course to more of our staff.

Our on-call service will be operating from 12.30pm, but we ask that if calls can wait until Monday that would be appreciated.

As part of Stress Awareness Month, last Tuesday we held a coffee morning to raise money for Herefordshire Mind. Jason attended a course to become Kemble's Herefordshire Mind Ambassador, and we are pleased we are able to support such an amazing charity. The coffee morning raised a fantastic £164! It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear colleague, Alison Hamlin who died peacefully this morning at St Michael’s Hospice.

Alison was truly the heart of Kemble at Home — a warm, welcoming presence who made everyone feel at ease from the moment they walked through the door or picked up the phone.

She brought joy not only through her kindness, but also through her love of animals and her special touch in everything she did.

She will be deeply missed by all of us.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones.
