Here at John kemp Funeral Directors are pleased to be supporting Herne Bay Crematorium and their fundraising event by donating a raffle prize.

✈️On Saturday 12th September 2026 Herne Bay's very own Marie has stepped up to the challenge by braving a daring wing walk to raise funds for Porchlight.
There will be a raffle at their Open Day this Saturday 4th July 10am -2pm, where you can get tickets, all proceeds going towards the fundraising effort.

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing members of the public who have helped make these beautiful hearts for families.

These hearts carry a very special meaning – one stays with a loved one, while the matching heart is kept by their family as a treasured reminder and source of comfort.
The response and support we have received have been incredible 🧡

We are truly overwhelmed by the kindness, generosity, and time that so many people have given to help make this project possible.
If you would like to get involved, we would love to hear from you. We can provide the wool and any materials needed; we simply need helping hands to continue creating these precious hearts for families.

Today we had the pleasure of volunteering at the RSPCA-Canterbury and District Animal Centre, helping to clean out their soon-to-be cattery. It was great to be able to lend a hand and support the fantastic work they do for animals in need.

A special thank you to Sarah – it was a pleasure working alongside you throughout the day. Looking forward to seeing the new cattery take shape and making a difference for the cats that will soon call it home. 🐱❤️

💛Calling all knitters, crocheters, and crafters in Herne Bay.
John Kemp Funeral Directors are reaching out to our local community to ask for support for a very special “Basket of Hearts” 💜initiative.

During the difficult time of losing a loved one, we want to offer families a small but meaningful comfort. These handmade hearts are given in pairs — one to stay with their loved one, and one to keep close.

How you can help:
• We’re asking for donations of handmade heart pairs
• We’re happy to provide wool if needed, just let us know what is required 🧡

If you’d like to take part, you’re very welcome to drop your creations into the branch or post them to us.

Thank you to the wonderful people of Herne Bay for your kindness and support — it truly means so much. ✨
