Herne Bay Manor Book Club Update

This month we are reading Don't Let Go by Harlan Coben, a gripping thriller full of twists, secrets, and suspense.

The story follows Detective Napoleon “Nap” Dumas, who is still haunted by the deaths of his twin brother and his brother’s girlfriend fifteen years earlier. When new evidence suddenly appears, Nap is drawn back into a mystery involving lost love, hidden truths, and shocking discoveries from the past.

Packed with tension and unexpected turns, Don’t Let Go explores themes of loyalty, grief, friendship, and how the past can shape the future. It promises to be a fantastic discussion book for our club, with plenty of surprises along the way.

The Cuddle Club 🐾💛

We were delighted to welcome Dillon and Bella to Herne Bay Manor, along with their wonderful volunteers from around the Herne Bay area.

Their visit brought so many smiles, comfort, and special moments for our residents, there’s truly nothing like a cuddle from these gentle companions.

Our residents have been busy choosing meaningful names for each floor of their home, inspired by the beautiful seaside surroundings of Herne Bay 🌊

But these aren’t just names — they’re stories that reflect the heart of our local community and coastline.

✨ Hampton (Ground Floor) – inspired by nearby Hampton Pier, a much-loved spot for coastal walks, music, and community gatherings. It represents connection, relaxation, and the simple joy of being by the sea.

✨ Coral (Second Floor) – a nod to the rich marine life and natural beauty of our coastline. It brings a sense of calm, colour, and the ever-changing wonders of the ocean into our home.

✨ Clock Tower (Third Floor) – inspired by Herne Bay’s iconic Clock Tower, a proud landmark that has stood the test of time. It symbolises history, resilience, and the importance of every moment we share together.

These names keep our home closely connected to Herne Bay and the memories many of our residents hold dear 💙

We’re also proud to support local businesses who help bring these ideas to life. A big thank you to the team at Lifestyle Signsfor creating these beautiful signs — it means so much to work with local partners who are such an important part of our community.
