On the morning of Sunday 21st June, the summer solstice; these beautiful people and I woke up before the sunrise to gather and greet the sun on the longest day of the year. This day represents a high point on the celestial play the governs all our lives as all energy is solar energy. As the Sun gives more than it takes we came together to offer water to the Sun - a ritual as old as it gets. The Sun represents more than burning gasses millions of miles away from us - the Sun is that light within, the knower - in yoga he is signifier of the atma - spirit which is full whole and complete and seeking a return to paramatma.
My heartfelt thanks to all those who came and shared their energy and enthusiasm, it was a special to watch the sunlight through the water. We also raised a modest amount of money for the Mukti Foundation which a part of The Traditional Yoga Association https://www.traditionalyoga.org/project
