With a Amber heat health alert issued across East of England, our clinical colleagues are issuing a polite warning to parents of young children:

- Apply sun cream before going out in the sun 🧴
- Avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours ☀️
- Dress children in light, loose-fitting clothing 👕🩳
- Prioritise shaded spots rather than areas in full-sun 🌳🍉
- Ensure they stay hydrated and drink plenty of water 💧
- Keep your home cool 🏡🧊🌡️

Small steps can make a big difference in keeping infants and children safe from the heat and ensuring they can enjoy the sun, safely.
