This page documents the creation of the Uk's permanent science-fiction museum in the north-east of England. The museum is situated in Allendale Town- an extremely picturesque village in the North Pennines. Visitors to the museum will be able to find lovely coffee shops and amenities on hand, as well as stunning walks. The idea for the museum stemmed from my lifelong fascination with science-fictio

n. It tells the story of a young boy who dreamt of travelling to other planets- but didn’t quite make it. Instead, he had a lot of fun watching, reading, collecting, drawing, making and dreaming. From a handful of action figures and comics and staying up very late to catch old B&W movies with his Dad, this interest never waned. The museum sets out to tell a brief history of science-fiction from H.G.Wells to the current day through my experience of the genre. It will of course be biased to those movies, comics and ideas that have most affected me personally. The story will be told with many original, screen-used props and costumes, production items, animation cels and published artwork. This journey highlights the landmark worlds of Wells, ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Star Wars’, whilst also exploring key genre themes, such as robotics and dystopia. I will also be producing original, unique artwork for the museum. Keep checking back to the page to follow the ever changing museum!

Good morning all! A little video showing a typical Museum job - light repairs!🤣 One of the most fragile exhibits is the unmasked robot clown from 1988's Greatest Show in the Galaxy....of which the most fragile part is the surviving hand! Yesterday had to open quickly to perform swift repair before visitors arrived! Not a massive job by any means but the sort of 'think quickly in your feet' repair you sometimes need to do! Thought I'd post this little insight anyway....!🤣 And finally we are open today - bank holiday monday - and are always open on bank holidays! Lovely to chat to so many fello fans and curious visitors over the weekend- thanks to everyone who visited!❤️ # #

This is the first chance I've had to post this. I was deeply saddened this week to hear of the passing of Roger Stevens- who, had played a significant part in the Reeltime Pictures productions that I have had the honour to be part of. Roger worked tirelessly behind the scenes piecing together the hours of footage sent back from Keith during recording.... painstakingly creating the wonderful productions that many of you now have in your collections. These Reeltime productions such as 'The Monster Man' and 'Doctor on Display' are - for me personally - an invaluable record of parts of my life.... a transition from being a teacher into a full-time Museum curator and monster restorer. Roger was a warm and generous man who will be missed. He interviewed me in person twice and his enthusiasm for his work remained throughout. Rest in peace Roger. Much love to his close friend Tom - who I know will have given him so much comfort - and to his family and friends.

Officially declaring this epic biro drawing finally done!!!! Glad to have finished as I'm itching to move on to a fresh image....The reason this one has taken sooooo long was that at the same time I was writing and digitally designing the First Four Doctors Museum Guidebook....and writing sections of It Belongs in a Museum Vol 2....and running the Museum 🤣....so this kept getting pushed back! Anyway....!!!! What shall I be drawing next???? Stay tuned!!!! #

Muppets in Space! Well rather three nostalgic muppets at a small classic era Doctor Who and Science-fiction museum.... just a huge thank you to Derek and Ian for their semi-regular trips to the Museum to make me laugh on a Saturday....honestly..... I haven't laughed so much for a while....heaven only knows what the other visitors thought as three 'grown men' cackled away by the Daleks..... #
