I remember when I was overdue with my second baby and I was pressurised into having a sweep I didn’t want…

I was 42+2 weeks pregnant and it was November 2020 - the depths of Covid.

I’d had minimal contact with midwives because of Covid and because I was very low risk but as I went ā€œoverdueā€ I went into hospital for a routine check up…

My husband wasn’t allowed to come with me and I was feeling alone and vulnerable.

I was checked over and everyone said the baby, the placenta and I were in good health.

But a consultant still wanted to speak to me…

I was left waiting and had been in the hospital for hours.

Numerous midwives advised me to have a sweep, as well as an induction. I declined.

I should have just left when everyone told me things were good but I felt like I couldn’t…

Two consultants (in masks) finally arrived to put the fear of God in me. They clasped their hands together and plead with me and said ā€œstillbornā€ more times than I can remember….

I told them I simply didn’t feel ready to give birth yet. I honestly felt great and like i needed more time. This was my second pregnancy so I felt confident in that.

The male consultant replied, ā€œhow do you know?!ā€

I told him, ā€œI know my body and my baby!ā€

BUT…

The pressure continued and I GAVE IN!

I allowed a midwife to give me a sweep. It was painful and I felt violated. When she finished, I cried.

And you know what…it didn’t even work!!

After that, my husband called the midwife office and told them not to contact me unless I got in touch first.

I wanted to relax, release stress and tension, connect with my baby. I wanted to forget the pressure and the trauma they inflicted on me.

I rested, I ate well and I used my acupressure routine. I knew all along that was all I needed but I still went against my intuition šŸ˜”

It paid off in the end though… I went on to give birth at home, in the pool to my gorgeous son, with my 2 year old daughter with us.

And guess what, that was at 43+5 weeks! Yes that’s right!

My body and baby weren’t ready to labour until much later than ā€œnormal.ā€ In the end, I trusted the process and I knew that the acupressure and belief in myself would ensure labour start

When you want to avoid a sweep or induction but you don’t want to go overdue

As an acupuncturist and 3x home birther, I have the E-guide you need…

My ✨NATURAL & EFFICIENT LABOUR GUIDE✨

Is the must have birth prep tool to help avoid going ā€œoverdueā€ unnecessarily

My E-guide includes:
✨ Simple daily acupressure points
✨ 7 key principles of focus - relaxing the mind, releasing fears, ripening the cervix, positioning baby, loosening the body, boosting wellbeing and increasing energy
✨ Full explanations with photos and video links
✨ How to use the guide from 39+ weeks pregnant
✨ How to use the acupressure points after pregnancy
✨ Recommended late pregnancy products
✨ FAQ’s
✨ My direct support of you need it

This is for you if:
šŸ’ž you’re 36+ weeks pregnant and want to support your body naturally as it gets ready for birth
šŸ’ž you hope to avoid unnecessary sweeps and inductions
šŸ’ž you’re tired of feeling unsure or impatient, and want to feel as though you’re moving things in the right direction
šŸ’ž you want a calm, empowering way to connect with your body and baby
šŸ’ž you don’t have the time, energy or funds for 1:1 acupuncture birth preparationĀ

But you DON’T want to:
āž”ļø try anything intense, risky, or stressful
āž”ļø waste hours researching conflicting advice
āž”ļø feel like you’re ā€œforcingā€ your body into labour
āž”ļø spend a fortune on in-person sessions

For less than one in person 1:1 acupuncture session you decrease your chances of sweeps and inductions and increase your chances of a positive birthing experience.

It’s a huge investment for you and your baby.

I’m Lucy, acupuncturist, mum of three, and someone who has lived everything in this guide. I created it because I want you to have access to what I do in clinic, without the cost or the commute….

So you can experience the natural birth you so desire.
