🧁✨ Sweet Treats & Creative Beats! ✨🧁

The residents had a wonderful time getting creative during a recent cupcake decorating activity. The dining room was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of colourful icing, sprinkles, and delicious toppings as everyone designed their own unique masterpieces.

Activities like this are a fantastic way to encourage fine motor skills and creative expression, but most of all, they bring everyone together for some wonderful social time and storytelling.

Of course, the absolute best part came at the end—enjoying our creations with a nice cup of tea and plenty of chatter! ☕️🍰

There’s nothing quite like the feel of soil in your hands and the fresh scent of herbs in the air! 🌿
yesterday evening, wonderful resident Wreford spent a lovely Evening after dinner out on the balcony planting fresh herbs parsley, mint, coriander and basil in our raised planter.
He shared some wonderful gardening tips with our sustainability champion Charlotte. Now, we just need to water them and watch them grow—and soon, our kitchen team can use them to garnish our delicious meals!

🌍 What an incredible evening at Ridley Manor! A massive thank you to our wonderful local community residents, your lovely families, and our amazing team members for joining us for our Around the World Tasting Table!

🎨A huge thank you to the wonderful children from the Lane End Playscheme for creating the amazing decorations in an arts and crafts session with the residents using recycled materials, they made our event look so bright and special!

🥁 A huge shoutout to Hartbeats for bringing the energy with a fantastic, vibrant African drumming workshop that got everyone moving!

🧠 Thank you to Emma Savory from the Lane End Community Centre for organizing such a brilliant and fun quiz.

👩‍🍳 A very special thank you goes to every single team member who rolled up their sleeves and cooked for our Around the World buffet. The food was absolutely out of this world!

🏆 Congratulations to our clever quiz winner and loser, and a big well done to the lucky winner of our Around the World hamper prize! It was such a special night, and we feel incredibly lucky to share these moments with our fantastic community. Thank you all for making it unforgettable! ❤️✨

🎶 Rhythm, Smiles, and Shared Moments! 🌼We had a wonderful morning enjoying a seated circle dance session with the residents.
Using the wonderful adapted techniques and music insights we learned from the Dementia Pathfinders Community Interest Company training programme, Alice and Sufiana from the care team guided simple, rhythmic, and repetitive movements that everyone could join in with safely from their seats.
It was amazing to see how the music sparked joy, non-verbal connection, and a true sense of togetherness in the room. Moments like this remind us how powerful movement and melody can be! ✨

🌿 The Power of Namaste Care at Ridley Manor 🌸
Our regular Namaste sessions are so important for supporting the comfort and wellbeing of the residents. By combining soothing LED projector lights, gentle music, relaxing diffusers, and playful bubbles with calming hand massages and warm chats, we create a truly peaceful space.
These special moments of loving care and sensory comfort bring so much joy and relaxation to our community at Ridley Manor. The happy smiles on our residents' faces truly say it all!

The residents had an out-of-this world morning! They enjoyed a special reminiscence session, watching the historic 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing and testing their knowledge with a fun, space-themed quiz. It was wonderful hearing everyone's memories of where they were during that giant leap for mankind 👨‍🚀🌕🚀

The residents have been busy, watering and using the hose to keep Ridley Manor blooming beautifully! We are so impressed by their careful touch—they are making sure every plant gets a drink and are gently adjusting the stream so the delicate flowers stay perfectly safe. 🌸🌿
