What is The 1:1 Diet really all about?
I could give you the polished answer.
Meal replacements. Different Steps. Portion-controlled products. One-to-one support. A structured approach to losing weight.
All of that is true.
But for me, The 1:1 Diet has been about so much more than losing weight.
There was a point when I genuinely felt like my body had changed and I didnโt know how to work with it anymore.
Menopause hit. My waist changed. I was tired. My joints hurt. Things that Iโd done in the past to lose weight just werenโt working in the same way.
And if youโve ever been there, youโll know how frustrating that is.
You tell yourself you should just eat less. Move more. Try harder.
Then when you canโt seem to make it work, you start wondering if youโre the problem.
I needed something different.
So, how does The 1:1 Diet work?
Itโs a structured weight-management programme with different Steps, so it isnโt necessarily one plan for everyone.
Depending on the Step youโre following, you may use nutritionally formulated meal-replacement products alongside conventional food, with your Consultant helping you follow the programme appropriately.
But thereโs another part that I think is incredibly important:
The 1:1.
Having somebody to talk to.
Someone to notice when youโre struggling.
Someone to help you plan for real life rather than expecting life to magically disappear while youโre losing weight.
Someone to celebrate the half-pound, the inches, the clothes fitting differently, the walk that didnโt leave you exhausted, or simply the fact that you didnโt give up this week.
What has it done for me?
Yes, Iโve lost weight.
But Iโve gained things too.
Iโve gone from a 3XL to an XL.
Iโve watched inches disappear from my body.
Walking and stairs became easier. My back and knees improved. I started sleeping better and feeling less bloated.
I became more active.
And somewhere along the way, I started getting me back.
My confidence.
My belief that I could actually do this.
My desire to look after myself rather than constantly feeling disappointed in myself.
And that is something a number on the scales will never fully explain.
My journey hasnโt been perfect either.
Iโve had difficult days. Iโve had times when motivation disappeared. Iโve had holidays, real life and all the things that happen between one weigh-in and the next.
Thatโs exactly why Iโm passionate about being a Consultant.
Iโm not standing on the other side telling you how easy weight loss is.
Iโm doing this too.
I understand what itโs like when your head wants one thing and your habits want another.
I understand how much courage it can take just to send that first message saying:
โI need some help.โ
So how could I help you?
Iโm not going to promise you a magic solution.
What I can offer you is a structured programme, nutritional guidance within the plan, accountability and genuine one-to-one support.
Weโll talk about your goals.
Weโll find the appropriate Step for you.
Weโll plan for the difficult days as well as the good ones.
And when something doesnโt go to plan, Iโm not interested in making you feel guilty.
Weโll work out what happened, learn from it and decide what weโre doing next.
Because you donโt need to be perfect to lose weight.
You just need to keep moving forward.
The 1:1 Diet helped me change far more than the number on my scales.
And now I get to use everything Iโve learned through my own journey to help somebody else change theirs. ๐
If youโre reading this thinking, โI need to do something, but I donโt know where to start,โ message me.
You donโt have to commit to anything.
Letโs just talk.
