Sadly these will be the last of the candle jars for a while.
The cost of making them is more than I would or could sell them for.
The reason being that I don’t use cheap wax or cheap chemical fragrances.
I only use the best wax and the safest essential oils but these are now almost 60% higher than the price that I used to buy them for.
People have asked why do I charge £15 for a large jar candle when they can be bought in Asda or other supermarkets for under £5, the answer is clear, the supermarkets can buy the products in bulk and sell cheap but have you ever read the ingredients label? Chemical after chemical!
My candles are individually made, the labels are designed by myself and a 3 sheets of 12 labels costs £23! The boxes used to ship cost approx £1.50 each candle. It all adds up.
I still have some jars and oils left so if you have a particular favourite I can make them to order for you and would be happy to do that. The lead time would be 2 weeks to allow for curing.
It’s sad as I loved making them but I just can’t afford to do it.
I will carry on with making the melts, but I have so many at the moment that I won’t be making anymore until these are sold.
