One of the most common questions I am asked is how/why did I choose my name?

💜✨ Indigo Magpie ✨💜 It sounds deliciously mysterious. I wanted something unique but I also wanted it to be absolutely steeped in spiritual meaning and really reflect me at heart.

👻 I’ve been aware of spirit and the afterlife for a very long time, since I was a little girl and the term “Indigo Child” has long been used to describe children who are highly intuitive and sensitive to spirit. Indigo children were also commonly considered to be headstrong and independent. Many “Indigo Children” are ASD, ADHD and / or ADD - I, of course, am ASD 🌈

💜 We can’t forget either that the third eye chakra which we open in order to work spiritually is a beautiful purple colour 💜

🐦‍⬛ I am a complete and utter magpie at heart - I am attracted to everything and anything glittery and shiny, I love little knick-knacks and I have a very eclectic taste. My little granny was the same and I feel like I honour her memory with the magpie, she is with me whenever I work with spirit 🕊️

I am also a little chatterbox once I get going and magpies are infamous for their chattering 😂 anyone I have read for will be familiar with my little timer!

Magpies are also deeply spiritual symbols 🧿 ; their black and white feathers represent the balance between two worlds - light and darkness, good and bad luck, the conscious and unconscious, with the reminder that we have to accept both parts of our true selves 🧘🏻‍♀️.

Magpies are clever and resourceful birds, appearing as omens when facing a major life change. Many traditions view them as bridges between the physical world and the spiritual realm and everyone is familiar with the rhyme - one for sorrow, two for joy etc 🎶

Native Americans saw them as sacred messengers that offer guidance and protection 🪽 whilst the Chinese believe them to be lucky symbols of joy and long lasting love because they mate for life 🩷 coincidentally I launched my business on the same day I met my future husband for the first time 🥰

So there you have it, for me a name holds a lot of meaning and I love that my name is so deeply intertwined in tradition and personal meaning ✨

I’m both! But did you know there’s a difference?

🪬A Psychic works with energy and intuition; using their keen senses to inform a reading around guidance and advice for whatever might be happening in your life. Think colourful auras, gut feelings and a “knowing” 🔮 psychics can use a variety of tools such as tarot / oracle / angel cards, crystal balls, crystals, ribbons etc or they can work purely from the energy they feel from you directly.

🪬 A Medium is the bridge between the living and the dead. Mediums communicate directly with those who have passed and provide evidence of what they might see, hear, smell and feel. The message from a Medium is directly from spirit, and will still be relevant to your life at present 🕊️ many Mediums work very differently from one to the next with how they channel those who have come to say hello.

All Mediums are Psychic, but not all Psychics are Mediums - an important distinction to make when you are looking to book a reading.

Card 1 - You are seeking clarity and hoping it will wash away the feeling of uncertainly, however, have you considered that knowledge is power and that this period of uncertainty has only made you stronger? It’s time to nourish yourself, and to let go of the things that are holding you back. The next season in your life is about making sure you fill your own cup first, and prioritise your happiness.

Card 2 - You have many mementos at your fingertips to prove to yourself how strong you are, and you have the emotional tools at hand to deal with anything life throws at you. You might feel at a loss sometimes, but if you dig deep you will find that you have exactly what you need to move forwards. Our experiences are what shape us, it’s time to show gratitude for the things that made us strong.

Card 3 - Some things are better left as a surprise; a true reminder that we cannot control everything around us and to revel in the mystery sometimes. It does us no harm to be surprised. You are seeking higher knowledge, but trust your inner voice. Growth takes time, the struggle will be worth it in the end.
