Could something as fundamental as access to the right toilet facilities be a barrier to employment?

This LinkedIn article from Ross Hovey highlights an important part of workplace accessibility that can easily be overlooked.

For some disabled people, a standard accessible toilet simply doesn't provide the space or specialist equipment they need. Without access to a Changing Places UK facility, spending a full day at work, attending meetings or travelling for business can become much more difficult.

Changing Places facilities can therefore be an important employment enabler, removing a very practical barrier that might otherwise prevent someone from accessing the workplace and participating fully in working life.

Creating inclusive workplaces isn't only about recruitment or making individual adjustments. It's also about considering whether the environment itself enables people to participate.
