Are you concerned about a sharp pain that starts in the lower back and spreads down the buttock and thigh all the way down to the sole of the foot.

Signs And Symptoms:

Knowing what to look for is important. When you, a family member or friend evaluate your feet, look for any open wound. Even a small one, particularly in the diabetic patient, should be addressed immediately. If there is yellow, foul-smelling drainage, swelling, pain, redness or red streaking, your podiatrist should be consulted immediately.

How Can You Keep Your Musculoskeletal System Healthy?

The best way to take care of your MSK system is to stay as healthy as you possibly can.

To do this you should:

See a Sports Therapist / MSK Specialist! They will assess, treat, rehabilitate, advise and educate you on maintaining your health.
Exercise regularly – Be sure to include both weight bearing, resistance training and cardiovascular training.
Get plenty of good quality sleep – Help your body to recover and rebuild.
Maintain a healthy weight – extra weight will put more pressure on your bones and joints and increase your risk of other health related issues.
Avoid smoking and to***co – Smoking decreases your blood flow throughout the body. Your bones, muscles and soft tissue need adequate blood flow to stay healthy.
