Hi everyone, sorry it’s a long one!
Some of you may remember this photo from last year when I received recognition for 15 years of service with Boots — and for the majority of that time, I’ve been proud to work here in Hingham.
As we now approach 16 years, and with our current manager, Ellie, moving on, I felt it was time for me to step up. So as of tomorrow (16.02.26), I’ll be taking on the role of Manager at Boots Hingham. With that, I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce myself a little and what we have to offer!
My name is Hannah, and I started with Boots just before I turned 17. I was actually born at home here in Hingham as my parents bought their first house in Admirals Walk. Although I no longer live there and despite having a full home life with five children, I’ve always loved coming to work in Hingham.
I have a keen interest in neurodivergence. As someone with ADHD and a parent to a child with autism, I believe everyone’s differences are strengths. I want everyone to feel welcome in our store — free from judgement and confident in accessing our services.
We offer a wide range of services, including blood pressure monitoring — something our team will regularly speak to eligible customers about.
We can also help with seven common conditions through the Pharmacy First service:
• Sinusitis (12 years and over)
• Sore throat (5 years and over)
• Earache (1–17 years)
• Infected insect bites and stings (1 year and over)
• Impetigo (1 year and over)
• Shingles (18 years and over)
• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women (16–64 years)
In addition, we provide both emergency and regular contraception services. While not every service will be suitable for everyone, we will always do our best to help — or signpost you to the most appropriate support where needed.
We also provide support for those experiencing domestic abuse, which is something I feel particularly passionate about.
Whatever you may need, please know our team is here to help.
Hannah 💙
