Over the last couple of weeks, Jo has run two special Foxy Club sessions inviting our residents to share their Girl Guiding memories and what wonderful stories they had!

From camping trips gone wonderfully wrong (dug latrines, rabbit stew, and a slug in the enamel beaker!) to a Buckingham Palace Garden Party and even a sponsored abseil at the age of 74 — our residents' Guiding days were full of adventure.

We heard about wartime confirmations in Guide uniform, a homemade suit of chainmail armour for a starring role as St George, and one resident who unknowingly uncovered a forgotten royal connection to Wrest Park through her own family memories.

Jo has now collated all of these wonderful memories, which will be on display for everyone to enjoy.

Last weekend we celebrated Father's Day with a relaxed summer BBQ.

A special thank you to George Anthony for a wonderful afternoon of live music. It wasn't long before one of our regular stars took hold of the microphone and joined in, much to everyone's delight!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped us make more lovely memories together.

Our first Rummikub Club starts tomorrow, Tuesday 12th May!

Join us at Foxholes Care Home every Tuesday in the library from 10:30am to 12:30pm. Open to older adults in the local community, it’s a lovely way to relax, keep the mind active, and enjoy good company over a friendly game.

Whether you already love Rummikub or would like to learn, everyone is welcome. Tea & coffee included ☕
