This beautiful set of baby blues belongs to my gorgeous patient, who was concerned about the puffiness and fine lines under her eyes.

As part of her treatment plan that included at-home prescription skincare, we decided to do a course of periocular polynucleotides, and she is absolutely delighted with the results!

🧬 Treatment: Periocular rejuvenation with .uk injectable polynucleotides
⏰ Time: 30 minutes
📆 Course: Initially 2-3 treatments, each 2-3 weeks apart
⏳ Longevity: Maintenance treatments recommended every 6-8 months
🫣 Discomfort: Minimal - Dr Kate uses strong numbing cream and the treatment itself is over pretty quickly

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and up to 90% are preventable with daily broad spectrum sunscreen use.

However, SPF is regarded as a luxury beauty item by the government, and so we are charged 20% VAT on each and every bottle we buy. This means that some people find it unaffordable and are automatically at higher risk of developing skin cancer.

Sunscreen isn’t cosmetic - it’s critical.

This Skin Cancer Awareness Month, I’ve joined the fabulous and the 70 000 supporters of the campaign, calling on the government to scrap this tax.

However you frame it, ageing is an inevitable privilege. Some choose to have tweakments, take supplements, or lift weights to help themselves feel more confident and to improve their overall wellbeing and longevity.

For me, aesthetic treatments are not about changing the way you look or trying to look younger… being comfortable and confident in your own appearance is the most important thing. There is nothing more attractive than happiness and confidence.

I love helping my patients feel more comfortable in their skin, and the reason I place such an emphasis on biostimulatory treatments to boost skin health in my clinic is grounded in my skin-first approach to ageing well.

However you choose to deal with the ageing process, stand tall. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad for your choices, whether you opt for tweakments or not!

L I F E • L E S S O N S 🤍

Parts of my 30s were tough: My beautiful mama’s cancer diagnosis, friendships breaking down, toxic relationships that left me not knowing who I was. I wish I could go back and give 30-year old Kate the benefit of the hindsight I have now.

I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and that difficulties just make you appreciate what you have, and guide you to where you’re supposed to be. Family and good friends, who support you no matter what, are everything.

M E 🤓

I cannot explain the RELIEF I feel having completed the coursework for my Level 7 diploma. It has been a ridiculously big undertaking. Informal submission is next week, so I may well have to redo big chunks of it before formal marking, but I wanted to celebrate the milestone anyway!

To all of you who have offered support and a kind ear as I’ve moaned about my lack of life this past 9 months; all my patients who kindly rescheduled appointments with me so I could work on it; the fab team at who have put up with my requests for extensions due to my inability to say ‘no’ to other projects; and all my friends who I’ve hardly seen or spoken to for a year - a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU!

Regular scheduled social programming will resume shortly 😉
