This time of year is difficult for many people. Please remember there is always a way forward. Reach out to others, ask for help. If you do not have a go to person, please consider talking to a therapist.
Feeling isolated and lonely is a time to take notice of what needs to change in your life. Feelings are your friends, they feel brutal, but are more honest than any words that can be said by someone that is not you. They do not judge, they have your best interest at heart.
Once you learn to listen to your feelings and understand what they are trying to communicate to you, a solution will arise for the better. Sometimes it is difficult to know what that change needs to be. A therapist can look at your situation objectively and without judgment, helping you to navigate your future in a safe way that works for you...
If you can't afford therapy, remember there are lots of things you can start to do for yourself. Go online and learn to breathe into your tummy, this reduces anxiety. I recommend to all my clients to listen to 528htz (free on YouTube), this regulates the nervous system. There are lots of self-help techniques you can use that are free online to reduce stress and anxiety.
Depression arises from the past, anxiety arises for the future. Remember to stay in the moment of now, look around you, take walks, look at nature. When your mind starts wandering, bring it back to the now...
Best wishes
