A huge congratulations to Dr Wren and Dr Pinkerton-Smith for their incredible fundraising efforts! 🎉👏
Dr Wren recently completed the 5K Race for Life, while Dr Pinkerton-Smith took on the amazing Trek 13 challenge, walking 13 miles in support of the Alzheimer’s Society. 💜
We are so proud of their dedication, not only to our patients but also to supporting such important causes in the wider community.
Well done both — a fantastic achievement! 🌟

We would like to inform our patients that resident doctors (also known as junior doctors) may be taking part in industrial action (strike action) from 7am Tuesday 7th April until 7am 13th April.

What does this mean for patients?
We will be short of doctors appointments during this time as we anticipate our trainee GPs and F2 doctors will be taking part in the strike action. If your problem is not urgent please consider booking a routine appointment.
Senior GPs and other healthcare professionals will still be working to maintain essential services.

Appointments
Urgent and essential appointments will continue
Some routine or non-urgent appointments may be delayed or rearranged

If your appointment needs to be changed, we will contact you directly

Prescriptions and Test Results
Repeat prescriptions will continue to be processed
Test results may take longer than usual to be reviewed

When to seek help
If you have an urgent medical problem, please contact the practice as usual
For life-threatening emergencies, call 999 or attend A&E
You may also be advised to use NHS 111 for urgent advice

Why is strike action happening?
Resident doctors are taking strike action following national discussions about pay, working conditions, and patient safety. These decisions are made at a national level, not by individual GP practices.

Update on Meningitis outbreak with some helpful advice.

There is currently an outbreak of meningococcal disease (MenB) in Kent. This blog post includes information on MenB and this outbreak, what to do if you are affected and where you can get antibiotics and who is being offered a vaccine.
