Heartwood is a gentle creative woodland session for adults who would welcome calm outdoor time, simple nature‑based making and a supportive space to unwind.
Whether you experience anxiety, social isolation, sensory overwhelm, a disconnect from nature, or you’ve always fancied trying woodland crafts like willow weaving, cyanotype or simple whittling, this space is here for you. We’d love to welcome you to our woods.
You can explore creative processes supported by our compassionate Eden’s Forest team and Artist in Residence.
Sessions include warm lunch, hot drinks and s’mores around the fire.

🌿 Stay & Play at Eden's Forest, back Monday 1st September | 9:30–11am

A gentle start to the week for little ones and their grown-ups. Join us at our last Stay and Play before the Summer Holiday Club season begins!

Come and explore the woods at your own pace, with mud kitchen, open woodland play, and our adaptive zipline chair for younger children. While the little ones roam, you can relax with a warm drink around the campfire.

No agenda. No rush. Just fresh air, nature and good company. 🐿️🍄🦉
Based in a woodland near Honley Train Station.

Are you a home-educating family or considering Home education?
Join us for a friendly, exploratory outdoor learning session designed to bring together children and adults from the home education community.
Hosted by Eden’s Forest CIC, these sessions offer space to connect, play, and learn through nature. We draw on our expertise in outdoor education to provide engaging activities, spark curiosity, and support a sense of belonging.
Whether you're new to home education or well-established, you're warmly welcome. Expect a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere with plenty of room for creativity, conversation, and connection.
