Did you know? Muscle loss is a natural part of ageing, but during perimenopause and menopause it can happen more quickly as hormone levels change.

Regular strength exercises, like squats, can help preserve muscle, support bone health, improve balance and keep you feeling strong for the years ahead.

Strong muscles. Strong bones. Strong future. πŸ’™

πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ 100 Squats a Day Challenge!

Some of the team at The Female Health Clinic are squatting throughout August to raise money for Cancer Research - why not join us.

There's no β€˜right’ way to complete your 100. You could try:

πŸ’™ 10 every hour
πŸ’™ A few while dinner cooks
πŸ’™ Holding onto a chair if you need support
πŸ’™ Teaming up with a friend for motivation

The goal isn't perfection. It's moving more, getting stronger and supporting an incredible cause.

Hot weather can be particularly challenging for menopausal skin. Hormonal changes can make the skin more prone to dehydration, sensitivity and irritation, even if it appears oily on the surface.

A few simple changes to your skincare routine can help keep your skin comfortable, healthy and resilient during the warmer months.

If you've noticed your skin behaving differently since menopause (particularly in this hot weather), you don't have to figure it out on your own.

We'd be happy to help you find a routine and treatments that are right for your skin.

πŸ“© Get in touch if you'd like to book a skin consultation or have any questions.

If you have phoned us or visited our Hartley Wintney Clinic - chances are you have spoken to the lovely Stacey.Β

We asked Stacey if she could give one message to women going through (peri)menopause - what would it be.

We think she understood the assignment 😊

Many women start experiencing perimenopausal changes in their late 30’s or early 40’s, but because it’s not often talked about enough, symptoms often go unnoticed or misdiagnosed.

Here are some subtle signs to watch for:

πŸ’« Changes in your cycle

πŸ’« Sudden mood shifts

πŸ’« Trouble sleeping

πŸ’« Anxiety

πŸ’« Hot flushes

πŸ’« Brain fog

Symptoms can be managed with HRT - you don’t have to β€˜just deal with it’.

Have you noticed any of these changes? Let us know in the comments.

Many of our patients have found us after struggling to get much-needed help. Our front-of-house team and menopause specialists provide the support and treatment you need for your (peri)menopause symptoms.

This includes help and treatment for women with more complex needs, such as high-risk cancer genes and premature ovarian insufficiency.

As a member of the British Menopause Society (BMS), our clinic is committed to delivering expert, evidence-based care for menopause and perimenopause, informed by the latest research and guidance.

No GP referral is required, and if, at any time, you wish to return to your own GP, we can arrange that for you - but we hope you will stay
