Headache! Massage can help to release tissue that may contribute to it.

I've treated here my 12yrs daughter.

Kinesiology taping may feel like heaven for the body that needs stability and protection.🤍

Of course it's only part of the support to heal alongside with massage and right self care.

It may be useful with:
• strains, sprains
• tendinopathy
• and others

I will be able to help with taping from September after my training.

If your body is busy, tight and in need of help I'm here. Appointments available from Monday.

It's quiet in the clinic nowadays so I'm painting the kitchen almond white 🤩 and obviously, I had my massage today to relax busy body too. Malvellous feeling!

My basic self-care keeps knee pain away 🩵

Sometimes I'm thinking - it's unbelivable! Only with a bit of touch, stretch, resistance and positive thinking we can control the pain.

"Why, if I came in with pain in one place, are you massaging other areas too?"..said no one ever. 😄

I've learned the hard way—on my own body with unhappy tmj🙄—that our joints are enbedded in continuous fascial lines or they work together. Tension in one area can create pain or discomfort somewhere completely different e.g. tight hips, lower back may pull on the jaw.

That's why treating only the painful area isn't always enough (or it may cause more problem). Lasting relief often comes from releasing or/and strengthening the other muscles and tissues related to it. Otherwise, the relaxation may only be temporary.

The body works as one unit, not as isolated parts.

🤍Jaw pain?🤍

Massage aims into releasing tension that may play part in discomfort. I will also teach you simple techniques to continue at home.

Depends on the reason- teeth clenching, overused joint- other steps may be helpful too:
• reduce experience of stress where possible;
• give the joint chance to rest e.g. eating softer food, no chewing gums, using other side to chew.

If the pain is caused by injury and overuse injury, priority is allowing time for stillnes and healing. During this stage massage still can support recovery by promoting relaxation and releasing tension in surroanding tissue while avoiding inflamed joint itself. Intraoral work may have to wait couple of weeks for tissues to settle.

Feet up⬆️ and down⬇️, up⬆️ and down ⬇️ may help with:
• tight hamstrings,
• discomfort around knees,
• issue around hips.

Important: When your heels are raised, intentionally spread weight through the big toe to pinky toe creating steady base. Your big toes need to firmly touch the ground. Also when yougo down make sure your heels make good connection with the floor and you come back with your heel to touch the ground.

Recently, my favourite one (clinical massage therapist basic tool).

It's an entry level. I may show you how to carry on with that exercise to more efficient/challenging level when you need.

Let's keep healthy together! 😊
