That's why LIVES volunteer Community First Responders are based within the communities they serve. Responding directly from their homes, they're often able to reach patients before an ambulance arrives, providing vital treatment, reassurance, and support in those critical first moments.

🌼 Collection Weekend Has Arrived!

If you've dedicated a dahlia through Forever In Bloom, this weekend is your opportunity to collect it from the display at the Petwood Hotel.

Can't make it? Don't worry. Postage options are available, or you can collect your dahlia from LIVES HQ after the display closes (Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm).

A huge thank you to the team at Silver Spoon for hosting their fantastic bake sale in support of LIVES! 🧁

It was great to catch up with the team again and see the continued enthusiasm they bring to supporting our charity. Their commitment throughout the year has been incredible, from taking on a skydive challenge to lacing up their running shoes for the upcoming Woodhall Spa 10K.

Every fundraiser, every event, and every donation helps us continue delivering life-saving care across Lincolnshire, and we're so grateful to have Silver Spoon by our side.

For more than 50 years, one thing has remained unchanged at LIVES: the incredible dedication of our volunteers.

Day and night, in all weathers, and often at a moment's notice, our volunteers continue to step forward to help complete strangers during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. They bring skill, compassion, reassurance, and hope when it is needed most.

For more than 50 years, LIVES volunteers have made an immeasurable difference to patients and families across Lincolnshire. Behind every response is someone who chose to give their time to help a stranger in need.

As we celebrate Volunteers' Week 2026, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every member of our volunteer family. Your commitment to your communities, your patients, and our charity never goes unnoticed. You are the reason LIVES can continue delivering life-saving care across Lincolnshire.

As a thank you, every LIVES volunteer will receive a special recognition from us this week. We’re proud to announce that four more LIVES volunteer Critical Care Responders have been signed off and are now actively responding across Lincolnshire.

Two responders are new to post
Two responders have progressed to an enhanced level of scope

These four responders will now respond directly from their own communities in their own vehicles on blue lights, helping bring advanced pre-hospital care to patients faster when it matters most. This latest sign-off brings our Critical Care Team to 17 dedicated responders supporting communities across Lincolnshire.

Every responder, every call, and every life saved is only possible because of the support of our communities.

Just over three weeks ago, Stuart had a cardiac arrest.

LIVES were first on scene, and today, Stuart is recovering incredibly well. Incredibly Stuart walked unaided to Forever in Bloom with Sarah by his side. 🌸

Sarah and Stuart dedicated a beautiful dahlia to the staff and volunteers at LIVES as a thank you for the care and support they received. We’re incredibly grateful to Sarah for sharing Stuart’s story and for their kind donation.

Sarah recently shared a video reflecting on the experience, gratitude, and Stuart’s recovery journey, including his new nickname, “Iron Man”, after having an internal cardiac defibrillator fitted in his chest.
