Our Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Zaid Hirmiz, was delighted to welcome the MP for Havant, Alan Mak, to Oak Park Community Clinic. The visit offered Mr Mak the opportunity to see first-hand the range of services available to local residents close to home. These include children’s therapy services, sexual health services, and diagnostic services like ultrasound, mammography, neurophysiological assessments, ophthalmology assessments and recently introduced fibroscans.

The visit showcased the breadth of care already being delivered within the community and the important role of community-based services in supporting neighbourhood health. Thank you to all the teams who took the time to showcase their services and the difference they make to local residents.

As neighbourhood health becomes the future model of care, we will look to expand the range of services available at community clinics like Oak Park, bringing more joined-up care closer to home, reducing the need for hospital visits, and making it easier for people to access the support they need.
