As well as affecting St Faiths dispensary it has had a knock non effect for pharmacies as well . If your prescription is not ready please do remember we have to wait for the prescriptions to be signed by a doctor. The surgery ask for three working days to process and we need a further two days to complete our processing and ordering . If we say we have not had a prescription for you from the doctor then there is nothing we can do .If it is urgent then you may need to chase it up with the GP practice not us.

Due to the transition to our new computer system, we are currently experiencing a backlog and are running behind with processing and dispensing prescriptions.

Our Promise: We are doing our absolute best to prepare your medication as quickly as possible.

Current Status: If your prescription is not yet ready, we will work to dispense it now, but you may experience a longer wait time than usual.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this upgrade.

As most of you are aware the GP surgery has had a new computer system . This has had a knock on effect on the pharmacy as it has temporarily changed the way we have to process prescriptions and we are receiving more calls requesting repeats while there are issues with the NHS app..It may take longer for us to receive prescriptions back from the practice so please can we remind you the surgery ask for THREE working days to process and we need a further TWO working days to complete. Further to this our wholesalers have reduced us to a once a day delivery during the extreme heat to protect the safety of their drivers and maintain the integrity of medicines being delivered. Please be kind and understanding and help by ensuring you order repeats with plenty of notice.

We’d like to let our patients know that the NHS App will be unavailable from the afternoon of Friday 12th June to Tuesday 16th June.

🔧 During this time, you will not be able to use the app for any activity, including ordering your repeat medication.

It’s another Bank Holiday !

****Late May Bank Holiday ****

We will be closed Monday 25th May as will GP surgeries . Please remember any prescriptions ordered after Thursday 21st May will not be ready for collection until 28th/29th May as they may not be processed until surgeries reopen on Tuesday 26th.

We have an increasing number of people who make it “our problem “ and expect us to have prescriptions ready in an unrealistic time frame. We have no control over how and when GP practices process and sign off prescriptions before sending to the pharmacy.
Ordering prescriptions in advance is the patient’s responsibility not ours.

Every single prescription item has to go through a stringent process both in the GP surgery and pharmacy before it can be issued to patients .

Remember prescriptions are only part of the service we offer , with increasing demands to provide other services and to see patients for consultations that are being transferred from GP’s we ask you to please be kind and respectful of this .

We will always do our best to ensure urgent prescriptions are available as soon as possible, but please be aware there may sometimes be a delay.
