Are you or your loved one experiencing falls?

Falls are a leading cause of hospital admission and mortality in the older adult. They can lead to life changing injuries such as fractured hips, head injuries and loss of confidence.

Here at aging well physio.. we want to help 👆🏻

We can provide bespoke falls assessments which can identify preventive measures and advice. We can do bespoke exercise programmes to help regain mobility, balance, confidence and quality of life.

Did you know falls can be caused by lots of different reasons?

Some factors are classed as “intrinsic” such as loss of balance & loss of muscle strength.
Some factors are classed as “extrinsic” such as poor lighting, poor footwear, rugs and environmental hazards.

My name is Sophie. I am a senior NHS physiotherapist, fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

I have been a qualified physiotherapist for 7 years and worked in a wide range of specialities.

My passion is working with older people to help improve their quality of life and function, I believe they deserve the best care and support.

I have worked in a wide range of specialities and familiar with working with patients who have the following disabilities or conditions:

•Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis
•Parkinson’s
•Stroke
•Falls and Balance issues
•Chronic Pain
•Hip/Knee replacements
• Diabetic Neuropathy
•Deconditioning post hospital discharge.

Prices include the assessment / treatment of one complaint & formulation of treatment plan.

What to expect? đź’­

At your first session we will run through your concerns and what matters most to you. We may look at your muscle strength, posture, balance and functional abilities.
Please be aware you may not receive treatment during this session depending on complexity of your concern.
We will agree some goals of treatment which may be to improve strength, balance, exercise tolerance.

We endeavour to provide a gold standard of care to older adults. We specialise in the assessment and treatment of multiple conditions including post hospital discharge rehabilitation, falls prevention/treatment and mobility complaints.
