Recent news has understandably raised questions about the care people receive after they die.

At Derek Moss & Charles Embleton Funeral Directors, part of the Dignity Funerals family, caring for the person entrusted to us is at the heart of everything we do.

Every one of our funeral homes follows rigorous standards and procedures to ensure the highest levels of care, respect and professionalism from the moment someone comes into our care until the day of the funeral.

We've also increased our focus on Customer Care Standards, compliance visits, and operational observations, helping ensure best practice is consistently embedded across our branches. Families may occasionally notice members of our team being observed during funeral arrangements, funeral plan appointments or other aspects of our service. These observations are a positive part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care, professionalism and customer service. Alongside investment in new tools, training and ways of working, these measures reinforce our commitment to delivering safe, dignified, and respectful care every day.

We also believe everyone deserves that same reassurance, regardless of who they choose. That's why we've long supported greater regulation across the funeral profession.

As part of Dignity Funerals, and as proud members of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), we are committed to upholding the highest professional standards and its Code of Practice, giving families added reassurance that their loved one is cared for with dignity, respect and compassion.

💙 Supporting a fantastic cause this Great North Run! 💙

Here at Derek Moss Funeral Directors and Charles Embleton Funeral Directors, we're proud to be supporting Stephen's friends, Stephen Knightley and Abigail, as they take on the Great North Run this September to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

To help support their fundraising, we're selling raffle tickets for just £1 per strip, giving you the chance to win one of three fantastic hampers. There's also a £1 sweepstake, where you can guess Abigail's finishing time in the Junior Great North Run for the chance to win a special prize.

Every ticket sold helps support the incredible work of Prostate Cancer UK, funding vital research, raising awareness and providing support to those affected by prostate cancer.
