One to one time and activities are so important to so many of our ladies and gents. It allows for personalised engagement and emotional connections which are difficult to gain as part of a group activity.
Derek has told us in the past that many years ago he used to play the euphonium in a brass band. He thoroughly enjoys brass music so Activities coordinator Jo took in her Cornet to play a few tunes for Derek. He seemed very keen to give it a go himself! We followed this by enjoying a selection of music of which his son was playing cornet in the music on the CD which made it even more special! 🎺🎵
Michael spends a lot of his day talking about his cows so we put together some large photos of the area he worked and lived and the cows he looked after which we hope will help to being back happy memories. He told Jo "they take some work"🐄
Lesley was full of smiles & thrilled to meet our beautiful therapy doll who was kindly donated by the Pen*stone Knitting group. She spent time smiling and cuddling the baby. Just by the smiles and her reaction it was clear how much happiness & comfort this baby has given. 🥰
